filled with talents to serve the Lord (both are accomplished musicians), but most important they’re both motivated to know and make known the Lord, and they serve Him with enthusiasm for His glory! They are in charge of the youth and of a ministry for the younger ones on Sunday nights. They are in the choir, she plays the cello and he plays the guitar in all our services. Gabriel filled in for me a few times for the midweek Bible study. They complete our key-families’ trio with the Stiglichs and the Martins. We are profoundly thankful for every indi- vidual and family the Lord sends our way, but we praise Him in a special way for these three families without which we would simply not be able to accomplish the ministry the Lord has called us to. For other news, Gaétan is coming back with us in a rather timid way, but we love him and we encourage him to first cling to the Lord who is the only One able to give him the spiritual stability he needs. Thank you for praying for this man that has the potential to become a pillar for our little congregation. Last Sunday morning we had quit a surprise when a visitor, Nicolas Fortin, Greetings to our dear praying friends, We are happy to introduce our church’s third key-family: Gabriel, Pascale and Coralie Tessier. The Tessiers have been saved, batized, married and discipled in our church. Miscellaneous : Our prayer life to be alive and our greatest way of influencing both lost and saints (Eze. 22:30). That our family would glorify god and be an example for the flock. Witness with boldness. Summary of Prayer Requests darkened the doors of our church. It’ not him who surprised us, but his grand- mother who drove him to church and who vehemently opposed the fact that he was coming. When the usher gave him a Sunday bulletin she took it from him and said: “what’s that! They want you to sign something to attend here! They want your money!” And believe it or not it got worst when she came back to get him at the end of the service. She was treating him like a child although he’s 20 years old. In short, his family is afraid of what they don’t know and thus imagine all kinds of things. We never saw any- thing like this since we started the church. Please pray in this situation, for God’s wisdom, for the salvation of his family, and for Nicolas’ deliverance from their grip. The little that I was able to be with Nicolas, I saw genuine signs of his salvation. But for now he is unat- tainable, but through prayer (Ps. 91:15). To finish, we have helped the Torrilus family for a while, but we don’t see them anymore in spite of our attempts to reach out to them. Please pray for their marital and spiritual conditions that are bad. Your servants, the Roy family The ministry is an adventure full of unexpected things. Sometimes disappointments, but also surprises and mostly blessings (sometimes disguised in a trial…). One of these surprises was the recent return of Jeremy Harper. I had the privilege of baptizing him in 2011 (see picture), but not long after he moved and we lost sight of him, except for scattered news we received every now and then that he was sinking in the world’s deceptions. But praise the Lord, a few weeks ago he contacted me to meet me. What a surprise I had to find a Jeremy, even though chastened by God, motivated to fully come back to Him (Heb. 12:6-10 ). He asked for in-depth Bible studies be- cause he’s constrained by the special call he feels God has on his life. To be continued... Jeremy is a man in whom the world would not see much potential because he doesn’t have much formal education. But he has great potential in God’s eyes because he’s available. Someone said: “the greatest ability is availability.” He told me that his top priority right now is coming back to the Lord with the help of the Bible studies and the prayer times we have together. When I was praying and meditating upon those things, I realized that the Lord likes to do that in our ministry. In fact, we don’t have any people with great riches, education, or social standing. And the few such people we have had through the years have either not stayed very long or they don’t or very seldom get involved. Nevertheless, we have people that, even though not very high in number, are available and enthusiastic for the Lord. We don’t have what the world values, but we have what’s most important and we are truly grateful for that.
