Tom is co-chair of Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program for profes-sional development. He completed the pro-gram in 2012, and joined the executive council of the program in 2014. Last year, Tom led the workshop teams for the pro-gram.

Tom serves on the parish council for St. Te-resa of Avila in Carson City. In this role, he gives advice to the priest and monitors church activities and expenses. Tom is active-ly involved in the special events sponsored by the church.

Tom also serves as a board member for the Eagle Valley Children’s Home. This is a home in Carson City for severely disabled children. Many of the residents stay in the home their entire lives. The home has 17 residents rang-ing from fi ve years of age to 50.
