JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER- Every child should be in class every year. Classes are

offered for every grade from Kinder through 12!!!

We do not attend classes to ‘get a sacrament’; we

attend class to learn about our faith. Skipping the years after

receiving first communion until time to prepare for confirmation

makes it very difficult for catechists to provide all the teaching

the students have missed by not coming to classes in between

those years.

LET’S TALK - A gathering of post

Confirmation teens through college

sophomores.

This group will meet to discuss topics of

faith that are relevant to their lives as young adults.

All are welcome. Bring your ideas, opinions and questions.

Next meeting: Wed., June 6th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Topic: Justice is a Choice -At these two meetings we will

discuss current justice issues in the news and how the church

addresses them. Centering the conversation around the issue of

justice, we will look at how God calls us to make our faith a

part of our daily life and how we can put that faith into action.

HABLEMOS --Una reunión para adolescentes después de la

Confirmación al segundo año de la universidad. Este grupo se

reunirá para discutir temas de fe que son relevantes para sus

vidas como adultos jóvenes. Todos son bienvenidos. Trae tus

MILWAUKEE- Our priests will be attending their annual

assembly in Milwaukee from Monday, June 18th through

Friday, June 22nd. Parishes will have communion services in

lieu of Mass while they are away.

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

PRECIOUS BLOOD

On this solemnity we focus our attention on the Body

and Blood of Christ. We listen to the story of the renewal

of the old covenant, which Moses sealed by splashing the

blood of animals on the altar of sacrifice, as well as on the

people. Jesus, whose blood is the blood of the new

covenant, shed that precious blood on the cross, saving us

from sin and promising us everlasting life. Blood is the

life source that courses through our bodies. The precious

blood of Christ is the life source for our spirits. Today

may we, like the psalmist, offer a sacrifice of

thanksgiving to the Lord, whose Body and Blood

strengthen us to bring the Good News to everyone we

El Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo.

PRECIOSA SANGRE

En esta solemnidad centramos nuestra atención al

Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Escuchamos el relato de

renovación de la antigua alianza, la cual Moisés selló

rociando la sangre de animales en el altar de sacrificio, así

como en las personas. Jesús, cuya sangre es la sangre de

la nueva alianza, derramó esa preciosa sangre en la cruz

para salvarnos del pecado y prometernos la vida eterna.

La sangre es la fuente de vida que fluye por nuestro

cuerpo. La preciosa sangre de Cristo es la fuente de vida

de nuestro espíritu. Que hoy, como el salmista,

ofrezcamos un sacrificio de agradecimiento al Señor,

cuyo cuerpo y sangre nos fortalecen para llevar la Buena
