Approximate dates are March through the remainder of the year for all park sports. Lessee must purchase a city business license and carry his/her own liability insurance. A $250 damage and clean up deposit is required at signing of the lease. e lease fee bid will be a dollar amount per operational day. e City will provide electricity, water and current equipment in the concession stand for the Lessee. e concession stand must be open thirty (30) minutes before game time, and remain open until aſter the last game has been played. On Friday, February 17 the Rockets topped the Mustangs and Dresden beat the Tigers to set the stage for the District 13A Championship and consolation matches Monday evening. Satellite / Round One: #4 HRB-Central 73, #5 McKenzie 68 In an offensive outpouring, the Tigers took a 23-19 advantage in the first period as Haden Williams scored 13 of his game-high 31 points. Hunter Lowe paced the Rebels via three field goals and a pair of free throw conversions while Robert Taylor sank a pair of treys. The Rebels continued to battle in the second frame as Hunter Lowe added four more baskets to his team-high 21 points and Curtis Broadbent converted a trifecta and pair of foul shots. Tigers Elijah Phillips and Paul Ulderich each tallied a three-bomb while Williams scored eight points to help maintain Central’s lead, 41-38, at the half. Rockets Devon Bailey and Matt Foster each sank a pair of field goals (including a Bailey trey) to pace Clarksburg through the frame. Rockets, Lions Advance to D13A Boys’ Championship The squads exchanged baskets for over half of the second stanza preceding a trifecta at the 3:03 mark by Rocket Foster followed by a consecutive trey by Bailey with 2:04 remaining to trim the Mustang lead, 22-21. Bailey and teammate Spenser Edwards each tallied a put-back in the final min- utes of the half while Huntingdon collectively converted three of five free throws down the stretch to maintain a narrow, 27-25 lead. Bailey rushed down-court and scored back-to-back spin- ning lay-ups to return the lead to Clarksburg early in the third canto. Mustang Corbin Jordan answered with a trey at the 5:25 mark. The Rockets responded via Foster trifecta and Jarvis Pearson skyhook with 2:23 remaining in the frame to retake the lead, 38- 36. Two more Bailey baskets were countered via Jordan put-back and Jordan-assisted Codey Parton 16-foot jumper as Huntingdon trailed, 42-40. In the final minutes of the deciding square Clarksburg out-shot the Mustangs eight of 12 to five of nine from the charity stripe to seal a seat in the District 13A Championship via a 62-53 final tally. Dresden 59, HRB-Central 40 Despite missing six first-frame field goal attempts compared to Dresden’s two, the Tigers took an 11-8 lead in the opening stanza via a pair of Rekayis McCauley treys, a Paul Ulderich trifecta and a bas- ket by Elijah Phillips. The Lions were paced in the period by Gatlin Hatchel’s pair of three-pointers. Battling back in the second can- to, Dresden took a 21-16 lead at the half following three Tyler McPeak post baskets and four points from Joseph Sipes. Central struggled offensively, shooting two of eleven from the field in the frame. The Tigers shooting troubles worsened in the third period as Central only converted two of 18 field goals to score five points. Lion Austin Daniel tallied 10 of his 14 points in the frame as Dresden increased its lead, 33-21. Though Tiger Haden Williams scored seven of his 10 points in the fourth square and Phillips connected on a pair of trifectas, Dresden converted 18 of 26 shots from the charity stripe in the block to seal the win, 59-40. Red Devil Phil Perry tallied all eight of his points in the third canto while Rocket Bailey added 10 to his game-high 28 points and teammate Jarvis Pearson scored three post buckets to maintain Clarksburg’s lead, 56-43.

Clarksburg limited the Red Devils to nine points in the final block while scoring 20 of their own, including 11 of 16 free throw conversions, to eliminate Big Sandy from the postseason via a 76-52 victory.

In the final period, seven various Lions tallied points as Dresden out-scored the Bulldogs 16-10 en route to a 71-36 tournament win.

Semifinals / Round Two:Clarksburg 62, Huntingdon 53

In Friday night Semifinals ac-tion, Huntingdon galloped to a 14-11 lead after one period led by three Justice Scott field goals. Rockets Devon Bailey and Matt Foster each sank a pair of field goals (including a Bailey trey) to pace Clarksburg through the frame.

Rockets, Lions Advance to D13A Boys’ Championship

The squads exchanged baskets for over half of the second stanza preceding a trifecta at the 3:03 mark by Rocket Foster followed by a consecutive trey by Bailey with 2:04 remaining to trim the Mustang lead, 22-21. Bailey and teammate Spenser Edwards each tallied a put-back in the final min-utes of the half while Huntingdon collectively converted three of five free throws down the stretch to maintain a narrow, 27-25 lead.

Bailey r ushed down-cour t and scored back-to-back spin-ning lay-ups to return the lead to Clarksburg early in the third canto. Mustang Corbin Jordan answered with a trey at the 5:25 mark. The Rockets responded via Foster trifecta and Jarvis Pearson skyhook with 2:23 remaining in the frame to retake the lead, 38-36. Two more Bailey baskets were countered via Jordan put-back and Jordan-assisted Codey Parton 16-foot jumper as Huntingdon trailed, 42-40.

A Foster old-fashioned three-point play provided the Rockets with a three-point cushion after the teams exchanged a pair of baskets. In the final minutes of the deciding square Clarksburg out-shot the Mustangs eight of 12 to five of nine from the charity stripe to seal a seat in the District 13A Championship via a 62-53 final tally.

Dresden 59, HRB-Central 40Despite missing six first-frame

field goal attempts compared to Dresden’s two, the Tigers took an 11-8 lead in the opening stanza via a pair of Rekayis McCauley treys, a Paul Ulderich trifecta and a bas-ket by Elijah Phillips. The Lions were paced in the period by Gatlin Hatchel’s pair of three-pointers.

Battling back in the second can-to, Dresden took a 21-16 lead at the half following three Tyler McPeak post baskets and four points from Joseph Sipes. Central struggled offensively, shooting two of eleven from the field in the frame.

The Tigers shooting troubles worsened in the third period as Central only converted two of 18 field goals to score five points. Lion Austin Daniel tallied 10 of his 14 points in the frame as Dresden increased its lead, 33-21.

Though Tiger Haden Williams scored seven of his 10 points in the fourth square and Phillips connected on a pair of trifectas, Dresden converted 18 of 26 shots from the charity stripe in the block to seal the win, 59-40.
