They were divided and beatenClose to demiseUntil a boy arose named

Temujin

Born in the 1170s to a splinter clan

Temujin was only a boy in needWhen his father was poisoned

by a rival bandAnd he was forced to lead

In 1182, his encampment was attackedTemujin was taken prisoner and led to an enemy campHe escaped by midnight to thus retractWith his followers, Temujin found refuge to revamp

They later joined with a powerful Mongol chieftainWith this aide, Temujin avenged his clanHe grew a strong reputationAnd was elected Khagan

Temujin took the name Chinggis Khan And lead his armies with power and forceHe first humbled the Tangut Kingdom and were thus subjected to the khaganThe Mongol armies then took the Jin Empire and continued their course

After China became a footholdChinggis Khan began his attack on Islamic world that did so sprawlUsing cavalry and clever tactics to gain controlTwo years was all it took for it to fall

As he turned to China to finish the conquestChinggis Khan turned grievously illOn August 1227, the leader passed with dangers stressedLeaving his son Ogedei with a large role to fill
