Hi, my name is Alana Armas and I'm in second year studying Anthropology. While I'm not at school I train in Karate and I recently achieved my brown belt. I decided to become an SJU student because I liked being able to have the small university experience while receiving a degree from uWaterloo. Also, the small community at SJU made me feel comfortable and more open with not only my classmates but my professors as well.

Hey! My name is Sam and I am a fourth year student in Honours History with a minor in English. My favourite hobbie is martial arts. I've been involved in Kung Fu for over 7 years and love every minute!! I decided to be an SJU student because of the small campus size, which has allowed me to connect more easily with other students and professors. I love being an SJU student because it means being a part of an amazing community! SJ U Know!
I'm currently pursuing a major in Peace and Conflict Studies with a minor in Sociology. My plan is complete my masters in Theological Studies, and a Ph.D in Religious Studies or Divinity. I'm a big internet nerd; I have a blog that I update on a daily basis, along with a few other blogs that I help mediate. I decided to be an SJU student because I really like smaller classes. I like being able to get to know my profs and the students around me. When I first started visiting SJ (I was like 8), even then, the professors and staff would stop and say hello. I have never felt as welcome somewhere as I have at SJU.
I'm in Honours Psychology and am focusing on Cognitive Science. As well as being a student I'm a classically trained musician and I compete during the summer. Other than that, I got into Community Commons to help out those new to the University experience and lead them on a path to success.
Hey Everyone, I’m Kierra J I am a second year Arts and Business Co-‐op student majoring in Sociology and specializing in Human Resource Management. In my spare time I love to read and watch One Tree Hill. The reason why I decided to be a student at SJU is because it was a place where I knew I could feel at home. On my visits to SJU, seeing the way that other students and faculties interacted with one another, made me feel that SJU was a welcoming environment where I could make long lasting connections with friends and the staff/ faculty.
