The Dumping Of Oil Into The Chao Phraya River.

The Chao Phraya River is a river located in Thailand. The source of the river is the ping river, which is located in Chang Mai. The mouth of the river is in the gulf of Thailand. This means that the river starts in Chang Mai and end in the Gulf of Thailand. The water now is very dirty and filled with rubbish. The water before so clean that there was dolphins in the river. It is important because people use it for transportation, fishing, farming and entertainment.

One potential solution is to hire policemen to patrol the river to stop them dumping oil.

INDICATORS OF THE PROBLEM

Oil in the water was observed, along with plastic bottles, dead fishes, water from boats and food boxes (Styrofoam). A problem at the Chao Phraya River is that factories are dumping oil in the river. Having oil dumped in the river is a problem because the water is getting dirty and fishes are dying. Many birds and animals also ingest oil when they try to clean themselves, which can poison them. Plants and sea creature are dying because the oil is covering up the holes in the plants. (Ms. Jane) the fish’s skin absorbs oil and the oil is filled with chemicals. The oil can make the fish blind. (Ms. Jane) If the oil is on the fishes skin, it cannot let out heat (he/she can’t control letting out heat). (Ms. Jane)

People dumping oil in the river is the part of the system that will be changed because that part is the most important part of the system because that will effect the whole system and the system will change.

INNOVATIONThere are many solutions out there, for solving water pollutions. One solution is to hire “Oil Patrol” and send them to factories. Those “Oil Patrols” will make sure that no oil gets dumped in the river. One of the problems towards making this happen is who will be in charge of hiring the patrols, if the people in charge have the money for hiring people and if we are allowed to have “Oil Patrols” in factories.

This innovation will be effective because:

Page 5: The Dumping of Oil Into the Chao Phraya River

Nature:Oil is bad for the river because river creatures live in them and oil is a kind of chemical that kill can river creature. Factories now dump the left over oil from making their products in the river.

Having patrols in factories will have a difference because the “Oil Patrols” will make sure no oil gets dump in the river.

ECONOMY:One of the problems is that the “Oil Patrol” isn’t invented because People don’t have enough money.

“Oil Patrols” will be hired by having people get budgets and they will pay the police.

Page 6: The Dumping of Oil Into the Chao Phraya River

SOCIETY:Now the Chao Phraya River doesn’t have control over factories dumping oil in the river.

If the “Oil Patrol” is invented the Patrols will be able to stop the factories from dumping oil.

WELL-BEING: The Chao Phraya River is not clean at all. It is bad that the river is not clean because that means that people can swim or drink or do anything with the river.

The “Oil Patrol” will be able to make sure the factories don’t put oil in the river. Which is a good thing because the river wont have any oil added and the river will be clean.

Page 7: The Dumping of Oil Into the Chao Phraya River

In conclusion the Chao Phraya River is located in Thailand. It starts in Chang Mai and ends at the gulf of Thailand. The river is very dirty with oil and different kind of garbage. The reason the oil in the river is dangerous because the fish skin absorbs the oil and the oil is filled with chemical. The chosen part of the system is changing factories dumping oil in the river. A really effect innovation is to have “Oil Patrols” at all the factories near the river. The water will be clean because all the oil will float away and no more oil will be put in the water. Those “Oil Patrols” will make sure no oil goes in the water. This is why my innovation will be the best.
