Philcade, Waite Phillips Penthouse-509 S. Boston Ave. Completed in 1931, the Philcade was designed to complement the Philtower. It’s significant for its interior art work. The mezzanine ceiling is covered with gold leaf and hand painted with geometric designs executed in muted tones of red, blue, green, purple, and brown, the favored colors of the Art Deco period. These designs display the Zigzag Art Deco style of this era. Hosted by KPM LLC 918-581-3100

Aloft Tulsa Downtown & wxyz bar-200 Civic Center From the inside, the new Aloft hotel downtown looks like a mix of midcentury modern and high-tech convenience with touches of industrial style. Mayo 420 –410 South Main Street This building, like Tulsa, has grown and changed many times over the years, always adapting to new circumstances. Originally it was 5 stories, it was used to house the Mayo’s furniture business. The Oil Boom had begun, so it was expanded to ten stories to be used as offices for oil tycoons. At ten stories tall, it was one of the “skyscrapers” gracing Tulsa’s early skyline. Today, it has been repurposed yet again offering luxury living in the heart of downtown Tulsa. Hosted by Wiggin Properties 918-582-8100

Sky Loft at First Place Tower-15 East 5th Street Tulsa’s newest event venue, Sky Loft, is on the 41st floor of the First Place Tower, with 360 degree views of Tulsa. Located in Downtown Tulsa’s central business district, from the moment you step into the beautiful marble and granite lobby of First Place Tower, and high speed elevators take you to the top of the building, the mid-century décor provides the perfect setting for receptions, events or meetings at Sky Loft. Spectacular views found nowhere else in Tulsa. This building stands 40 stories high and was originally named the First National BanCorporation Tower. More contemporary than its peers, the building was completed in 1970 and has 41 stories though the “13th” floor has been omitted. 918-630-9007 www.skyloftevents.com

Mid Continent Tower-401 South Boston The building consists of two separate structures. The first is the Mid Continent Building, a 16-story structure on the west side of the complex. It was completed in 1918. The second is the Mid Continent Tower, a 37-story structure which is built alongside and cantilevered above and over the original 16-story building. The two structures do not touch. Each is freestanding, separated by six inches of space to permit each to sway, to expand or contract independently. Atlas Life Building –415 South Boston Courtyard by Marriott, New Atlas Grill, Tulsa Press Club, Deco Deli & Market This is a historic twelve-story office building completed in 1922, sandwiched between the Philtower and Mid Continent Tower. At the top is an ornate cornice surmounted by a crouching statue of Atlas. The building is seven bays wide at the base, narrowing to three above the second floor to allow some separation from the taller buildings on either side. It was purposely designed as an Inverted “T” to represent Tulsa. In 2010 it was converted to a hotel. Hosted by Courtyard by Marriott 918-508-7400 The 320 Boston Building-320 South Boston Avenue This building was designed not only to be a bank, but also to be a mooring station for the most innovative form of travel in its day– the dirigible. Another use of the tower was as a beacon for weather alerts. During the 1960’s either red or green lights would be beamed on the tower to indicate various weather conditions. The building at 320 S. Boston was originally the home of the Exchange National Bank and was completed in 1928. It stood ten stories tall and was the largest bank in Oklahoma. It was designed by George Winkler (who also designed the Mayo Hotel) and then in 1929 was expanded even more to its current height of 22 stories. The 320 Building is designed in the Neo-Classical style and is connected to the Kennedy Building via a tunnel under Boston Avenue. Hosted by 320 Boston, LLC. 918-584-1414 and Bank of Oklahoma
