Google ® Earth GPS InterfaceGPS data is determined and coordinates saved for each testing point. This information is easily transported and displayed on your PC along with the Google ® Earth photo and the measured value, date and time. The PC software allows you to create individual datarecords, as well as statistical analysis of the entire testing area as specified in ASTM E2835-11.

Light Weight Deflectometer— H-4119.3FLight weight Deflectometers (LWDs) are increasingly being used to deter -mine overall compaction quality of all types of earthworks through their use as a QC/QA field test. LWDs provide a rapid determination of elastic modu -lus, which is an essential factor in mechanistic design and can be used as an accurate assessment of compaction.

An LWD is used for measuring the bearing capacity (deflection) of subgrade/subsoils and unbound base layers, granular layers and backfilling materials, according to ASTM E2835-11 and ASTM E2583-07 (2011). Based on the static plate load test requiring a load vehicle, the LWD provides a simple, fast and repeatable test providing an accurate assessment of compaction parameters.

Applications for this non destructive method of testing bearing capacityand compaction include road construction, pipeline and cable backfill, railway track beds, airport runway/taxiways, dam construction, embankments, foundations and other earthworks.

The Terratest 300GPS from Humboldt is the most advanced Light Weight Deflectometer available today. The Terratest unit is constructed to stand up to daily use at construction sites. The control unit sports a huge inspection window and external control buttons, which allows the electronics to remain in the sealed control box during use.

Easy SoftwareUser-friendly, with integratedGoogle® Earth GPS InterfaceThe H-4119.3F Light Weight Deflectometer provides real-time testing results onsite through its integrated mini-printer, which allows you to print the measured data, as well as the Evd-value; the three settlement curves; the maximum settlements with the settlement speed, and GPS coordinates.

Additional information regarding the construction site, like altitude or type of soil, can also be added to the test data in the unit, making handwritten notes a thing of the past.

To ensure capture of all test data, test data is automatically saved on a chip card, the size of a credit card, which can then be transferred to the PC for evaluation and storage.

Easy Portability for quick, uncomplicated testingThe H-4119.1 Portable Transport Cart (Carrello) provides true portability for the LWD. The apparatus enables easy handling of your Light Weight Deflectometer without having to carry it across the construction sites. With the Carrello, the complete mechanism is hooked up under the angled handles of the load plate and wheeled across the construction site. The guide rod of the loading device is locked and fixed.

The measurement electronics remain connected to the load plate during the entire testing process and can be operated conveniently at waist level. In this way, you are always ready to test without the need to assemble the unit beforehand. For testing, the load plate will simply be placed on the ground without having to lift, carry and rewire the device for each test. After testing, the mechanism is hooked up under the angled handles of the load plate again and hauled comfortably to the next testing point.
