This is the CAVE CHURCH OF ST. SIMON.

Several churches meet in caves in Mokattam, but the

Cave Church of St. Simon is the largest one. 20,000

PEOPLE can fit INSIDE!

The outside of this church is incredible, too. There is

BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK all around the cave. One piece of

art is a carving of the TEN COMMANDMENTS. It is located

high up on the rock above the entrance to the church. This carving

reminds us that GOD GAVE HIS PEOPLE THE LAW.
