KHS FactsThe Kingston Humane Society is the only regional shelter that accepts every animal received, the vast majority of which (nearly 70%) are strays. Often they come to usfrightened, sick, emaciated, and in need of emergency medical attention.

Bowl For The AnimalsHelp Save Lives in Your “Spare” Time!

Bowl For The Animals is a fun afternoon of team-building and excitement which takes place on April 9th, 2017. There will be prizes awarded to bowling teams with the highest amount of pledges earned, and the best overall “team spirit”.

Our 2016 event drew in 22 teams of 132 participants, and 11 volunteers! A large participant turn-out guarantees that all attendees with be positively exposed to your branding as you have aligned with a charitable organization with a strong community standing. All sponsors are encouraged to form a team and participate! Enjoy a positive team building experience as you raise pledges, don costumes, and have fun with others in the community.

Big Paws 2017 Walk With Purpose!

KHS’s annual Big Paws community walk is our most popular event each year. Animal lovers from Kingston and surrounding areas gather with their canine friends to support the Kingston Humane Society and local businesses at Lake Ontario Park. With a variety of vendors, dog-friendly games, and a friends & family walk, it is our largest and community signature event.

Our Big Paws 2016 event welcomed a crowd of over 1000 attendees, 50 vendors, and 20 hardworking volunteers. Your sponsorship of this event would guarantee that your brand is exposed to local residents, city officials, and major community influencers at the event and prior to it through event marketing.

The Kingston Humane Society releases a newsletter three times per year. This is the shelter’s chance to celebrate the KHS alumni that have found their adoptive homes, celebrate our sponsors and volunteers, and provide the public with shelter statistics to help them better understand our mission here at KHS. The newsletter includes details about upcoming KHS signature events, and highlights the need for community help throughout the year.
