It took place in a hometown, Alabama. Kathy Smith, who everyone calls Coco, was making taffy apples with her mom when she was young and now she does the same with her two daughters.

One day she would play around and mix recipes to put with her taffy apple. She made a Cheesecake taffy apple thta no one forget. That apple melted everyone’s mouth in one bit.

It was famous that it spend throughout the town and onto other states.People calling for her to make more or give them the recipe. She never thought it would be so big. She start off making her busi-ness in 1971.

Since 1971

Coco’s Taffy Apple business grew quickly and was famous for there number one apples in the country.

Coco has created over a million differnt taffy apple recipe and in-creases her business to New York, Chicago, Europe, and Italy. The her love of taffy apples are spread throughtout the world.The top apple that are cheesecake apple, M&M with caraml apple, nuts &caramal apple, Sweet Sugar green apple, and carmal apple. These are on to the top taffy apple that was voted the best but there is many more to come.

Ingredients:

Tortilla chips - extra thick - 1 14-oz bag Refried beans - 2-3 cups Cheddar Cheese - 1/2 lb, grated, about 3 cups Pickled jalapeno peppers - 4 peppers, sliced Salsa Guacamole Sour cream Cilantro, chopped

Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange a layer of tortilla chips along the bottom of a wide, shallow baking pan. It will make things easier if this baking pan also can be used as a serving pan, such as the ceramic platter shown in the photo above. The layer of tortilla chips can be a couple chips thick. Spread the refried beans over the chips. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of chips and beans. Sprinkle slices of jalapeño peppers over the cheese. Bake in oven for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melt-ed. 5 minutes in a convection oven. Step 2 Serve with dollops of salsa, sour cream and guacamole, with chopped cilan-tro sprinkled on top.

Places to go and pizza to eat. There are many different pizza made these days and the mis-sion is to find that best pizza.

Pizza is one of the num-ber one meal that families will have for dinner. They would have it order, home-made or froozen and they will still ove their pizza. But pizza these day have change and has many dif-ferent recipe that make of it. I wanted to find that one and only best pizza made and stop but Alabama, New York, Chicago, and Ohio. Why I choosen these states becasue I found the unusu-ally and amazon pizza I found. The Alabama rap pizza, I was a surpise at first if it was a pizza. They called it a rap and inside is a hidden pizza taste. Inside laid cheese, spinach, and

tomatoes sauce. I took a bit and a string of cheese contacted my mouth to the pizza as long as my arms. The word “WOW” came to me as like a child will say it. It was amazoning in what was hidden inside this pizza and I had to see the cook. I asked to see the cook and right away they too me to the back of the kitchen. A little man stood infront of me and I was shock to see this man who made this pizza rap. I ask him question after, after, and after question. In why is it rap and not like another pizza, what as the recipe ad where he got this recipe? But the man spoke

nothing until I was dont askig thim all the question I need to hear. The little man open him mouth and with a French voice came along with him. He answered all my ques-tion but in French. The man understood english but spoke only french. But lucky on off his worker undertood French. The worker said that when he was a little boy his mother would make this rap for him because he would make a mess. As he he was a little boy he has to slip and make a mes when he its. His mother would get madd. So his mother would make these Rap pizza easy and clean to eat.

As I am looking at little cheif telling his story and his worker translating it in english, I was amazed how his pizza came to his coun-try and travels all over the world to come here. But sadly he would not tell me how to make it or what is put inside this pocket pizza. I left him with my good bye and injoyed the pizza rap. I started to go off to my next stop at New York and found a pizza called half and half pizza.New York city where the city do not sleep but they never said how they pizza was there? I had to see and taste what they got to give me. I en-tered in a small pizza place,

where everyone was on top of each other. The line was out the door and it was only 11 a.m. I was in line for half an hour and got to my order. The pizza where all half and half an order you can have both your favoraite pizza into one pizza. I had the peppori and half pineapple. The order took a about 15 minutes more and the workers were quick and out with my pizza. I found a place outside to enjoy my pizza and the word “mmmm” came to my mouth and love at first sense. What a pizza that you have both your favorite pizza, warm and toasty.

I felt like I had a little new york inside of me. I wanted to meet with cook by the pizza was getting busy by the minute, so off i went to my next stop to Chicago.I was walking down the street of Chicago and as everyone whats the best piza o have in Chicago. The only answer I would get is Cover up Pizza, and the only way i can get it is in a small town in Orland in the corner of Orlando Ave. I drove about an hour and got to the place. It was a large resturant and was a classic place to be in. I was seated down and was

served right away. The place was quiet and the smell of pizza was in the air. I or-der the Cover up Pizza and bread stick on the side. The order was smooth and quick as I thought it would be. The pizza was cover up but this time it was not like a rap as like the one in Alabama, but similar by being cover up. It was placed on a pizza pan and wiht 6 slices and a pizza would be. I took my first bit and the fill inside shock me with sweetiness of the tomatoes, balck olives, cheese, spinach.

I wanted to meet up with the cheif but seeing I had not time. My trip in Chicago was over and went to Ohio. Ohio was a small coun-try, where everyone knows everyone and welcome stranger. I was walking into a pizza place, the place was empty and strange. I was sat down and asked the waiter to serve me the best pizza they have. I was served the large, thins, and double layer of cheese, that I never seen in my life. The was topped with olive,

tomatoes sauce (on top, not inside) and five different layer of cheese placed inside. I took one full bit and a the words “oh my god “ was like a joy of a smile came on to my face. I have found the best pizza.I have tried many pizza and traveled everywhere to get the best pizza, that I will ever have. Each pizza was different and was amazed with their own taste, but I thought I have found the best pizza , But I was wrong.

New Recipe and fresh food too. We have this sum-mer a couple of recipe you can make for your family, friends, or just for you to keep. They are healthy and fresh to make at home. They can be a challenge to make, but it will make you a great cook. People have been taking these recipe and have sent pictures of their master piece of food. Here are a couple of there pic-tures and YUMM’s Recipe.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons vegetable oil 1-inch grated fresh ginger 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 2 scallions, sliced thinly 1 carrot, cut into 1-inch julienne strips 1 small red pepper, cut into 1-inch juli-enne strips 1 cup Napa cabbage, shredded 1/4 cup chicken broth 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce 1 tablespoon sugar 1 to 2 tablespoons sesame oil 20 wonton wrappers covered loosely with a damp paper towel to prevent drying 10 shrimps, cooked and minced

DirectionsIn a wok or skillet, stir-fry the gin-ger and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add scallions, carrots, and red pep-per and stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes.In a bowl, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sugar. Add the Napa cabbage and broth mix-ture. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until

the vegetables are soft. Add sesame oil, cool for at least 15 minutes, and strain. Fold in the minced shrimp.Fill and roll the egg roll wrappers, using 1 tablespoon of filling for each roll. Working with 1 wonton wrapper at a time, place the wrap-per with one corner of the diamond closest to you. Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of the wrapper. Roll the corner closest to you over the filling. Brush the top

corner with water. Fold in the sides of the wonton and continue roll-ing the egg roll up until it is closed. Press to seal, set aside, and continue with the remaining ingredients.In a skillet set over moderately high heat, heat the remaining oil and saute the egg rolls until golden brown on all sides, using tongs to turn them. Serve when cool enough to eat, with dipping sauce.Cont. Page 12
