Sourav Sourav is 5 years old and goes to the local primary school 3 mornings a week as well as coming to the preschool. His favourite colour is orange, he likes to eat biscuits and rice and is another big fan of music and dance. At home he likes to play with his musical toys and look at his books. Sourav does not like jumping and his co-ordination (gross motor and fine motor) skills need developing.

My Title PageThis is my title page for what represents Sourav. I added the flowers to show Sourav means fragrance of flowers. I done this in a water colour and made it run which blended it nicely with the name. The flowers in fine liner give a nice contrast to this. I done a small picture of his and stuck on some secondary sources of dancers as he likes music and dance.

My best secondary picture

This is a picture I did for a Indian God. I made the picture up myself, giving the feeling she has wind blowing in her hair, showing serenity.

Primary source pictures

These are primary pictures taken of flowers with a DSLR camera in the front of my garden. The camera has made the pictures look more professional.

I needed primary pictures of flowers because I need to paint them in my final piece.

Frida Khalo StudyI have studied Frida Khalo because in her paintings she uses symbolism to depict pain in her life and what she has been through. This is what we tried to do throughout our whole Kerala project with our kids.

My own Photo Montage

This is a photo montage that I have created myself. It depicts a women and all things that are special to her; showing symbolism in this piece. It was made by magazine cut outs and I studied the work of Adrian Brannon.

Tavis Coburn study

This is the style I used to paint Sourav in my final piece. The colours are bold and you can see the shading. I based the work on a man called Tavis Coburn.

Firework experimentation

Practise experimentation I did using macromedia fireworks. Images of me are being used and my primary source flowers

Idea PageThis is a ideas page I created to help me with my Final piece. It has the sort of settings in which I would like to paint the background with. I used the 2nd image down instead of the sunset ones. I edited Sourav on fireworks, making it seem the light from the sun is shining on him and making it look like bold colours like Tavis Coburns, making it easier to paint.
