The Tomatalk is published monthly by the Minnesota Chapter 13 of the Pon-tiac Oakland Club International. The Tomahawk Chapter was founded in 1977. The chapter is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of Pontiac, Oakland and GMC vehicles of all years and models, stock and modified.
Club events are organized for the en-joyment of our members.

President’s MessageOur summer months are the busiest in terms of car enjoyment, and as a result our meeting was a little underwhelming with only nine in attendance. Be-cause of this our meeting was a fairly quick one.
Our main discussion was the recent GM Car Show. First I would like to thank all of the mem-bers who showed up to work on pre-registration - it was a fun evening that went well with everyone’s help. At the show itself there were 46 registered Pontiacs on this beautiful day at the Fairgrounds with six awards presented to Pontiac owners! For those who are aware, there are normally only five awards given per make, but because we had such an awesome representation they gave a ‘bonus’ sixth award to the Pontiacs! WhoooHoooo! *Nice!*
We had also received an inquiry from a Mr. Paul Lindahl who came to the show with his ’77 Grand Prix and visited with the Club - it was very nice to meet you! As a little “chrome on the bumper” we received a new member as well--Pete Sims and his ’67 GTO and ’02 Trans Am (because let’s face it, the cars are as much members as their owners!). We welcome you to the Club, Mr. Sims, and look forward to get-ting to know you better!
Next month’s event will be the Street Machine Nationals on July 17-19th. We hope for another beautiful day and look forward to an impressive Pontiac turnout. The Club tent will be set up and we welcome all members to come and hang out if you have a few extra minutes between researching ideas for your own cars.
A final quick reminder that the July meeting will be at A & W in Inver Grove Heights. We are looking forward to a little “stretching of the tires” if you want to bring your cars. We wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July holiday weekend!

June Meeting Minutes6/16/15
We met at the Rosetown Legion with 11 member’s present. Meeting called to order at 7:07. Last months minutes were read and, despite a few typo’s, ac-cepted. There was no treasurer’s report.
Old Business: GM show- There was approximately 500 cars. The car cor-ral was full and 46 Pontiacs registered. There were no goody bags and will not be in the future. There were Dash Plaques, but we would like to reduce the number from 500 to about 200. Having a sponsor for the dash plaques, to help with costs, was also discussed.
New Business- Street Machine Na-tionals (formerly Car Craft) July 17-19. Todd plans to set up the tent early. We may need some caution tape. Give him a call if you can help. The “Pontiac Happening” is July 25 at the Chanhas-sen Automotorplex. Valley Show- We need a chairperson for this event. The Annual Drag Day at RockFalls is on September 27.
