President’s Message

Our meeting in April held “the usual suspects” but pro-vided some lively conversation and entertaining banter. Much of the business centered around gearing up for the upcoming car-show season, with mention of a number of upcoming shows and preparation events. Our kick-off show was April 30th at Unique Classics on 65, we had so we had good weather and a fun day, although it was windy. We will be completing registration cards on June 2nd at my house in preparation for the GM Show on the June 5th. We are hoping for a record number of members to attend—please be sure to save the date and come to show your support!

Terry and Karen will be coordinating a field trip/cruise, and if anyone else has suggestions for club events we’d love to hear them. I will start the pro-cess by inviting everyone to mark their calendars for 2:00 on June 11th and I will host a club picnic at my house. We’d like to have a bit of fun with the members outside of the mun-dane meetings, so please bring your family, favorite beverage, and a dish to share and we look forward to fun conversation and lively yard games. In the meantime, enjoy the shows!! Tony Miller, Tomahawk Chief

April Meeting Minutes4/19/16

We met at the Rosetown Legion with 16 members present. The meeting was called to order at 7:06. Last month’s minutes were read and accepted. There was not a treasurer’s report this month.

Old Business- Todd reported that he was going to pick up the club shirts on Thursday. He also has the trophies for the show but there are some issues with them. He hopes to resolve them before the show. Terry and Karen are going to stay in a “Primitive House” that is supposed to have some old Pontiacs next door. He will let us know what he finds there. The All GM Show will be on June 5 this year. It would be nice if more of our member’s would enter their cars in the show.

We are doing the pre-registerations at the Miller’s on June 2. They are doing some remodeling to Machinery Hill at the fairgrounds now.

Other news- The Buick Show is on May 1st. Marilyn Messer has retired. Nick and Carlene Mann celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Nashville.

New Business- Lots of member’s and former member’s cars are coming up for sale this spring. Metro Molded Parts might want to work with us on doing a show.

May MeetingTuesday, May 17th

7:00 pm

7000 West Broadway Minneapolis, MN763-533-8262

POCI Convention- There are 30 chap-ter members registered for the conven-tion at this time.

Paul had some fliers for this years Pon-tiac Adventures gathering at Chula Vista. We were wondering about the date for Valley Show this year. There was some convertible discussion. We decided to meet at Wagner’s Drive-In for the next meeting on May 17 at 7:00 PM. We adjourned at 7:40.

Steve “Mudbird” Weese Tomahawk Chapter Secretary

Meanwhile... Back at the “Pontiac Ranch”

Thanks to all who helped out at the Unique Classics show. Prez Tony was sure busy when we pulled in at 8:15, there were already 15-20 show cars there! Todd gets the hard luck award this time, hopefully he’ll get his TA on the road soon. We had a total of 85 ve-hicles this year (compared to 71 vehi-cles last year). There are lots of events coming up, please read this issue care-fully and mark your calendars!

Let’s keep those Ponchos rollin’! Paul Bergstrom, Tomatalk Editor

Thanks to Unique Classics!

We really lucked out for weather at our spring club show at Unique Classics. I personally had a good time showing the car and bringing car parts for the flea market. I now have $75 worth of more space in the shed. Nick and Carlene, Jim and Cari, Mike, Robin and Brittney also brought items to sell. Ed and Rosie Hustad came out for the day. Ed enjoyed seeing all the cars and visiting with the members. The club had a good showing. If you didn’t attend plan on being there next year. A good time was had by all. Terry and Karen Ford
