The VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD has, in a very short time, become one of the most sought-after awards for industry, designers and students. An international jury in cooperation with the German Design Council and the magazine form, is looking for innovative and creative ideas that unify aesthetics, function and individual design.

In 2004 SWANY started its i-Lab initiative with the aim to create a perfect fusion of technology and design in its products. The result of this initiative is a continuous stream of innovative handwear that sets new standards in comfort, form and function in the glove industry. Since 2006 SWANY has been rewarded for this development and design efforts with no less then 5 design awards or award nominations. A proof forour outstanding design and manufacturing capabilities that has established SWANYas a leading glove brand in the global sports community.

KEY TECHNOLOGY

DRYFINGER REFLECTIVE

Dryfinger Reflective is SWANYs premium membrane. Aluminium is sprayed on the inside of the membrane which reflects back body heat.

PRIMALOFT

Primaloft is a premium insulation that keeps your hand dry and loft feel by allowing moisture to escape to the out-side but no moisture to get to the inside.

THERMOGEAR

Thermogear lining transforms large parts of excess moisture directly into heat and transfers remaining moisture to the oustide.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTIONInsulation and lining (Next2Skin) are combined in the newly developed Triplex+ which is a laminated 3-layer configuration made of Dryfinger Reflective, Primaloft and Thermogear. The Thermogear lining thereby plays a pivotal role in the climate-regulation system as it transforms large parts of excess moisture directly into heat and transfers remaining moisture to the outside. Whereas this excess moisture is further transferred to the surface by both Dryfinger Reflective and Primaloft layers, Dryfinger Reflective provides a prefect balance between wind- and waterproofness as well as air permeability and heat reflexion. Primaloft makes sure that body moisture can escape to the outside but no moisture can get into the glove.
