Happy Birthday Sisters perform in Raleigh
Members of the Jonathan HuntChapter, Daughters of the AmericanRevolution, attend the 110th NCSDARConvention in Winston-Salem. Theyreceived a silver punch bowl for havinga 45.7 percent increase in member-ship. Eleven members, including fourfrom Mount Airy, won a total of 16awards. Officers present were NationalPresident General Linda Gist Calvinand past National President GeneralPressley Merritt Wagoner. Connie Inscore from Ararat, Va., celebrates her 66th birthday May 28 with fami-ly and friends. Her lunch consisted of her favorite chicken wings and Dutch applecheesecake. Connie received lots of calls and visits from her friends wishing herwell. She has four children and four grandchildren. Some of her family treatedher to a dinner at Prime Sirloin in Mount Airy. Other friends met her at the WillisGap Community Center Friday Night Jamboree.
Sisters, Molly and Abigail Brannock, were invited to perform at Athens DriveBaptist Church in Raleigh. This was a special evening service for the church’ssenior citizens. The entertainment was a combination of mixed vocal, piano duetsand solos. Molly is a graduate student at North Carolina State University inRaleigh and Abigail is a junior at North Surry High School. They are members ofCommunity Baptist Church, Mount Airy. Their grandparents are James E. Belton,Katherine Brannock and Ruth Watson.

Memorial Day Celebration
