1. All entries must be submitted on the current "Official UKC Entry Form". You may use one entry

nonrefundable, non-transferable and do not apply to the cost of permanent registration.) 4. Mail all completed entry forms to the Event Secretary listed under the event, unless otherwise

specified. 5. Obedience Trials, Agility Trials, Rally Obedience Trials, Weight Pull events and Dog Sport Trial

events are open to all UKC recognized breeds and mixed-breed dogs with a valid Limited

Privilege number. 6. Obedience only: Check the box provided to request either the Veteran or Special Jump height

option. Veteran dogs must be 8 years or older. Eligible dogs for Special Jump Heights are

outlined in the current rules and regulations. 7. Conformation classes consist of: Puppy (6 mos., under 1 yr.); Junior (1 yr., under 2 yrs.); Senior

(2 yrs., under 3 yrs.); Adult (3 yrs. and up); Breeder/Handler (6 mos. and up, handled by breeder

or member of breeder's family); Champion; and Grand Champion.

We want you to keep the points earned at UKC Licensed events. Important things to

remember. All dogs entering UKC events must be permanently registered, have a

valid Temporary Listing Number, or a Limited Privilege number. All entry forms must be completed and signed. Incorrect information submitted on the entry form

may invalidate your wins. To be eligible to enter into the Breeder/Handler class, you must be one of the breeders of record, or a member of the immediate family of one of the breeders of record. Immediate family includes: spouse, parent, stepparent, child, step-child or brother or sister.

WAIVER

All events are held under the Official Rules and Regulations of the United Kennel Club, Inc.

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or firearms will be allowed on the grounds or in the buildings on the day

of a UKC Licensed event. UKC, its agents and employees, and the host club assume no responsibility for any loss,

damage, or injury sustained by spectators or by exhibitors and handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further

assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. UKC and the host club

are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft. By signing this form, I hereby agree to waive any claim, action, or lawsuit and further agree to indemnify and hold

UKC, the host club and any approved UKC Judge harmless from any claims, actions or lawsuits resulting from my

participation in this event, and any action, decision or judgment made by any UKC or host club representative or

approved Judge under the official UKC Rules and Regulations governing this event. I acknowledge that the current

An entry will consist of a grouping of 3-5 dogs produced by the same breeder to be judged on quality and

consistency of type. The dogs need not have the same owner, but must have the same breeder. The dogs to be

presented may be determined the day of the show. All dogs must be UKC registered/listed and must also be

exhibited in a licensed conformation class. If a kennel breeds more than one variety it may enter more than one

group (e.g., a Groenendael group and a Tervuren group). A dog may only compete in one kennel grouping. The

following awards will be presented: Best Groenendael Kennel, Best Laekenois Kennel, Best Malinois Kennel, Best

Tervueren Kennel and Best Kennel in Show.

Special Note on UKC Registration All dogs entered in junior showmanship and conformation classes (except Elder Sweeps) must be UKC registered by the closing date

of the show. Dogs who do not have primary registration may apply for a Temporary Listing Number (TL) which is valid for 60 days. Any points

Best Male/Female of Variety 8 points Best of Winners 12 points UKC GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP Five Champion class wins (at least three entered in class) won at five different shows under three different judges. CLASSES & JUDGING The following classes are offered for each sex in each of the four varieties—Groenendael, Laekenois, Malinois and Tervueren: Puppy 6

months to under 1 year of age • Junior 1 year to under 2 years of age • Senior 2 years to under 3 years of age • Adult 3 years of age and

over Breeder/Handler 6 months of age and over; dog is handled by a breeder of record at UKC or by a member of the immediate family

(spouse, parent, step-parent, child, step-child, brother, sister) of the breeder of record. Altered Dog Classes This class consists of Belgian Shepherd Dogs six months of age or older that have been spayed or neutered. This class

shall be divided by sex. The Judge shall select a single winner in each class. The Best Altered Male shall compete with the Best Altered

Female for Best Altered Dog of Breed. Dogs must be permanently registered with the UKC or have a valid TL number by the closing

date of the show in order to be eligible for this class. Champion class: This class is comprised of Belgian Shepherd Dogs that have earned the UKC Champion title. It includes both sexes and all

four varieties. Grand Champion class: This class is comprised of Belgian Shepherd Dogs that have earned the UKC title of Grand Champion. It includes both

sexes and all four varieties. Best of Breed Competition is comprised of the Best of Winners and the winners of the Champion of Champions and Grand Champion classes. Belgian Shepherd Dogs will be judged using assisted animation. The judge will write a critique of each dog presented and give each a

SubJunior—For children four years & under eight years, parents are allowed to accompany the child, class is not placed. Junior—Ages eight

years & under thirteen years of age, class is placed. It is subdivided into Novice Junior, for any Junior who has never earned a Best Junior

Handler Award with competition or who has not earned three first place wins from the Novice Junior class and Open Junior, for any Junior who has

earned the Best Junior Handler award with competition from the Novice Junior class or three first place wins from the Novice Junior class. Senior - Ages 13 & under 18 years of age, class is placed. It is subdivided into Novice Senior, for any Senior who has never earned a Best Junior

Handler Award with competition or who has not earned three first place wins from the Novice Junior class and Open Senior, for any Senior

who has earned a Best Junior Handler award with competition or who has earned three first place wins from the Novice class. For more detailed

information see Official UKC Rules and Regulations. The age of the junior as of January 1st shall determine the division in which the junior competes for that entire year, with the exception of a

Sub-Junior who turns 8 years old within the year. All dogs entered in Junior Showmanship must be UKC registered (permanently, limited

privilege or temporary registered). Spayed/neutered dogs may be shown.

Conformation UKC Non-Licensed Classes — Entries close October 8th Veteran Dog Classes Friday, October 28

th ENTRY FEE $15.00 JUDGE: Jean-Louis Vandenbemden This class consists of Belgian

Shepherd Dogs eight years of age or older and shall be divided by sex. The Judge shall give up to four placements, where possible, in this class. The

Best Veteran Male shall compete with the Best Veteran Female for Best Veteran of Breed. Dogs must be permanently registered with the UKC or

have a valid TL number by the closing date of the show in order to be eligible for this class. Spayed and neutered dogs are eligible for this class. Stud Dog & Brood Bitch Classes Sunday, October 30

th ENTRY FEE $15.00 JUDGE: Jean-Louis Vandenbemden Classes will be

judged separately by sex. These classes shall be judged on the quality of the progeny and not the individual stud dogs and brood bitches. Stud dogs

and brood bitches must be permanently registered with UKC by the closing date of the show to be eligible for this class. Progeny may compete

if they are permanently registered with UKC, are out of UKC Registered litters, or have a valid TL number by the closing date. Spayed bitches and

neutered dogs are eligible to compete in these classes but not as progeny. The Judge shall give up to four placements, where possible, in these

classes. Only the exhibitors of the stud dogs and brood bitches are required to wear armbands in these classes. Stud Dog: Each entry in this class

shall consist of a stud dog and at least two but not more than four dogs sired by that dog. The progeny must be at least three months of age and may

include both sexes. At least two of the progeny must be entered in the licensed classes. Stud dogs entered in this class may not be counted as progeny

for their sires in the same class. Entries shall be made in the name of the stud dog. Brood Bitch: Each entry in this class shall consist of a brood bitch and at least two but not more than four dogs produced by that bitch. The progeny must be at least three months of age and may include both sexes. At least two of the progeny must be entered in the licensed classes. Brood bitches

entered in this class may not be counted as progeny for their dams in the same class. Entries shall be made in the name of the brood bitch. Novice

Puppy Classes Sunday, October 30th ENTRY FEE $5.00 JUDGE: Sandy Shaw The classes will be divided by sex. For intact dogs three months

of age and under six months of age that are permanently registered with UKC, or that have a valid Temporary Listing (TL) number by the closing

date of the show, or that are not yet permanently registered but that are from litters registered with UKC by the closing date of the show. The judge

shall give up to four placements, where possible, in these classes. Best of Breed Novice Puppy class shall consist of the winners of the Novice Male

class and Novice Female class. The judge shall select a single winner in this class. Lot d’Elevage Sunday, October 30

th ENTRY FEE $15.00 per kennel group JUDGE: Jean-Louis Vandenbemden

Lot d'Elevage is a breeder's group. The purpose of this class is to honor those kennels who are producing consistently high-quality Belgian

Shepherds of uniform type.. All dogs must also be entered in a licensed conformation class. The following awards will be presented: Best Groenendael Kennel, Best Laekenois Kennel, Best Malinois Kennel, Best Tervuren Kennel and Best Kennel in Show.

Sweepstakes – Entries close October 8th

There will be classes for Youth, Elder and Working Dog Sweepstakes. Dogs will be judged using assisted animation and will receive a written

critique from the judge. The varieties will be shown together in each class. Neutered dogs may compete in Elder and Working Sweepstakes

only.

JUDGING ASSIGNMENTS Saturday October 28th

Dennette Prawdzik - Youth males, elder and working females - both judges will do Best in all Sweepstakes

Kate Kinnane-Souza - Youth females, elder and working males - both judges will do Best in all Sweepstakes

Sweepstakes entry fees will be divided among the placing entries. After expenses are deducted club will retain 25% of the fees. The remaining fees

will be awarded for each class as follows: 1st place, 40%; 2nd place, 30%; 3rd place, 20%; 4th place, 10%. Youth Sweepstakes All dogs entered in Youth Sweepstakes must also be entered in a regular class and must be UKC registered. Classes for males & females: 6-9months, 9-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 month, Best in Youth Sweepstakes, BOS in youth Sweepstakes Elder Sweepstakes Dogs entered in Elder Sweepstakes do not need to be entered in a regular class and do not need to be UKC registered. Neutered males and spayed

females may compete. Classes for males & females: 8-10 years, 10-12 years, 12-14 years, over 14 years, Best & Best Opposite in Elder Sweepstakes

Working Dog Sweepstakes

The purpose of the Working Dog Sweepstakes is to recognize and honor dogs that possess verified working abilities that most

closely resemble the UKC standard for the Belgian Shepherd Dog. Best and Best Opposite in Working Sweeps will be chosen

from the winners of the male and female classes. Classes are divided by working level and gender. Each dog, regardless of age or

variety, is entered in the class appropriate for the level/titles earned.

Disciplines: obedience, agility, herding, tracking, schutzhund, ring sport (Belgian, French or Mondio), KNPV, service work

(assistance, police, SAR). Discipline titles earned in multiple venues for the same level count as one title (i.e., and AKC CDX and

UKC CDX counts as one CDX title). The highest of progressive titles counts as one title (i.e., FR1 and FR2 equals one FR2). If a

discipline or title is not listed that you feel makes a dog eligible for a certain level class, you may submit that title's

documentation along with your reasoning and request the sweepstakes chair consider the entry eligibility. The sweepstakes chair

will make the sole and final determination of eligibility. Photocopies of certificates and/or score books of all titles are

required for class/eligibility and must be submitted along with the entry form. Dogs entered in Working Dog Sweepstakes

do not need to be entered in a regular class , but must be UKC registered. Neutered males and spayed females may

compete.

We want you to keep the points earned at UKC Licensed events. Important things to

remember. All dogs entering UKC events must be permanently registered, have a valid

Temporary Listing Number, or a Limited Privilege number for performance events. All entry forms must be completed and signed. Incorrect information submitted on the entry

form may invalidate your wins. To be eligible to enter into the Breeder/Handler class, you must be one of the breeders of

record, or a member of the immediate family of one of the breeders of record. Immediate

family includes: spouse, parent, step-parent, child, step-child, brother or sister.

WAIVER All events are held under the Official Rules and Regulations of the United Kennel Club,

Inc. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or firearms will be allowed on the grounds

or in the buildings on the day of a UKC Licensed event. UKC, its agents and employees, and

the host club assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators

or by exhibitors and handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no

responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. UKC and

the host club are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft. By signing this form, I hereby agree to waive any claim, action, or lawsuit and further agree

to indemnify and hold UKC, the host club and any approved UKC Judge harmless from any

claims, actions or lawsuits resulting from my participation in this event, and any action, decision

or judgment made by any UKC or host club representative or approved Judge under the Official

UKC Rules and Regulations governing this event. I acknowledge that the current Official UKC

Rules and Regulations (Agility, Conformation, Dog Sport, Junior Showmanship, Obedience,

Terrier Race, Weight Pull) have been made available to me, and that I am familiar with their
