Sun Yat-sen / 孫文 / 孫中山 / 孫逸仙: Certification of Hawaiian Birth; Kingdom of Hawai'i; November 24th, 1870a.k.a. Hawaiian Certification of Live Birth (COLB)(1) facsimile of the COB(2) facsimile of a typed copy and/or application(3) transcriptissued by the Territory of HawaiiSun Yat-sen's Hawaiian citizenship at birth was retroactively declared in March 1904, which automatically made him a citizen of the United States (applicable law now codified as 8 US Code §1405).

This is to certify that Sun Yat Sennow residing at Kula, Haui, T. H., whosesignature is attached, has made application No. 25 for aCertification of Birth.
And that it appears from his affidavit and theevidence submitted by witnesses that he was born in theHawaiian Islands on the 24th day of November,A. D. 1870, and that the photograph attached is a goodlikeness of him at this time.
In testimony whereof, the Secretaryof the Territory has herunto subscribedhis name and caused theseal of the Territory of Hawaiito be affixed.
