THE LAW OFFICES OF JAY B. UMANSKY, P.C. TAKES FIRST PLACE IN
CORPORATE CHALLENGE GOLF TOURNAMENT
From left: Danny Babitz, Aaron Coon, Jesse Barge and Andy Babitz
Even though we had to postpone our May tournament due to flooding on the golf course, we eventually held a successful golf tournament with perfect weather on June 8. The team from The Law Offices of Jay B. Umansky, P.C. took first place with a score of 52; an amazing 18 under par for the course. Second place was won by Mortland & Company, LLC with a terrific score of 58 and third place went to Granite City Food & Brewery with the same tremendous score of 58. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a winner in the Million Dollar Shoot-Out, but Dave Heyl won the Putting Contest. Other contest winners include Megan Daly for the women's Closest to Pin; Craig Phillips for the men's Closest to Pin; Jeanette Roscoe for the women's longest drive; Aaron Coon for the men's longest drive and Jeanette Roscoe for the straightest drive. Many thanks to Granite City Food and Brewery who provided a delicious dinner after the game. Our chamber is planning another fun golf outing September 29th at the Creve Coeur Golf Course. Look inside this newsletter for information on the event.

BARNES-JEWISH WEST COUNTY HOSPITAL BREAKS GROUND ON NEW HOSPITAL
The weather was perfect May 30 for a gathering of BJC and Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) leadership, physicians, Creve Coeur city officials, and the project team to ceremonially break ground for the new Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital (BJWCH). The event signified the start of construction on the hospital, which will replace the existing facility. It also recognized the continuation of caring for the community envisioned by the Signorelli family when they opened Faith Hospital in Creve Coeur 48 years ago.
