15-year-old Oliver Tate has two objectives: To lose his virginity before his next birthday, and to extinguish the flame between his mother and an ex-lover who has resurfaced in her life.Richard Ayoade is the director and writer of the film, from a pre-existing franchise, the novel by Joe Dunthorne. Richard Ayoade also directs music videos for bands such as Arctic Monkeys, whom the front man Alex Turner is the soundtrack for Submarine.Produced by Mary Burke, Mark Herbert and Andy Stebbing.
