Study system
in Science and
Math's
Mara Jekabsone
Study system in includes the following interconnected components:
• the philosophy of teaching science and math's;
• balanced study content;• organisation of study process (various, active,
cooperative);• evaluation (aims, tasks, process, result).
Study system is formed according to a certain structure:
• support (cooperation between students, teachers);
• favourable study environment.

PUT INT PRACTICE BY DEVELOPING LIGH-LEVEL COGNITION SKILLS:
• generating new ideas,• problem solving,• making decisions,• critical thinking, e.t.c.

The content of science subjects – physics, chemistry, biology – is organized in three blocks:
• nature and techniques,
• research process,
• interaction of aperson, societyand environment,scientific aspectsof them.

In order achieve comprehension of mathematical processes it is important:
• to know a certain amountof mathematical facts,methods, notions and regularities;
• to develop skills of understandingconnectedness and make deductions;
• to develop experience to recognize problems, solvethem using mathematical methods to interpret the results.
MATHEMATICAL MODELS
A student’s learning process:
Students acquire cooperation skills as well. Students can work independently, in groups or in pairs. A teacher is
mainly as an adviser (tutor).

Modern study process includes two priorities:
• students’ research process,• usage of modern technologies.
Evaluation process consists of the following steps:
