Pope Francis: If you find it hard to
pray, don’t give up. Be still; make space for God to come in; let Him look at you, and He will fill you with His peace.
Mrs Sayers’ Message: Well what a very strange week it has been! There have been
very few of us in school and I have missed seeing everyone's smiling faces. However, I have heard all about the wonderful work that is being done at home, so well done and keep it up! I would like to personally thank all of our amazing staff for their hard work and support. It has been a challenging time for us all and we are so lucky to have such a dedicated and hard working team at St. Joseph's. I would also like to thank our families for their support and patience over the last few weeks. I hope that everybody is well and keeping safe and I look forward to hearing about and seeing the work that you all do next week. Have a lovely weekend.
Wacky Hair Day: How creative you have all been with your
amazing hair styles, including some of the staff! We hope you enjoy looking at some of the photo-graphs that you have shared with us. Don’t forget next week’s challenge is to decorate an egg—we are looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
School nurse service: The school nursing
team will continue to operate whilst schools
are closed. Should you or your child need to
access the school nurse then please tele-
phone 0300 247 0040. This service is available
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Kit for schools: Many thanks to
all of you who helped collect the Aldi “Kit for Schools” stickers. We have now received a bag full of sporting
equipment.
Lenten fund-raisers: Many thanks to those
of you who supported all our Lenten events. We have raised a fantastic £586; the pyjama day raised £95; the sponsored spell an amazing £439 and the non-uniform day last Friday £52. Wow!
Mrs Roberts’ Weekly Maths Challenge
Why not try to solve this puzzle; the an-swer will be revealed in the next School Newsletter: Peter is making pizzas. Each pizza takes five minutes to cook. How many pizzas can he make in 30 minutes? The answer to the last challenge was: There were 12 more adults than children in the cinema.
“Happy birthday” to: Tom and Heidi!
Mathletics: We will be
listing the names of all the children who have
achieved bronze, silver and gold certificates over the past week. Can we get even more names on the
list for next Friday?
St Joseph’s Church: Fr Raphael says to tell you
that he is thinking of you, and the helpers at Children’s Liturgy hope you are enjoying the sunshine. This Sunday is the 5th Sunday of Lent and instead of going to church you can follow a Children’s Liturgy live at 10am with Bronagh, Eileen and Martin. If you can't join live, a re-cording will be available to watch afterwards. Just search for Cafod Children’s Liturgy and you will find it. Get your parents to register and you will be ready to go.
