Going to for intentionWe use “going to” when we have the intention to do something before we speak.

We have already made a decision before speaking. Examples:Jack is going to draw the dinosaur.

Ben and Lisa are going to look at the fossils.

We are going to see the blue whale in Gallery23.

How to use going to

Going to for predictionWe often use “going to” to make a prediction about the future. Our prediction is based on present evidence. We are saying what we think will happen.

Examples: There is going to be a terrible accident!

He is going to be a brilliant politician.

I am going to have terrible indigestion.

Jack : I’m going to draw the dinosaur.
