The story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, orangutan and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific Ocean. Buddhist Meditation Session : Metta Bhavna Monday 11 th March – 5.30pm Venue: The Studio, 24 Hounsfield Road (opposite the Hicks Building) Price: £1.75 Meditation is the art of cultivating calm, focussed, positive states of mind and has been practised in Buddhism for many centuries. The leaders from the Sheffield Buddhist Centre will help you discover how meditation can help you cope with the stresses of everyday life. Tatton Park Day Trip Sunday 24 th Mar 2013 - 9:30am Venue: Meet at the Glossop Road entrance to Bar One Price: £22 (includes travel and admission to the house, gardens and farm) Tatton Park is an amazing historic estate with plenty to explore at your leisure. You can visit the Neo Classical Mansion and a working rare-breed farm with cattle, horses, sheep, pigs and goats. There are 50 acres of beautiful gardens which reflect over 250 years of garden design, and which contain herds of deer for you to see. There are a limited number of discounts available for students living in the Communities.

Windsor and Eton Day Trip

Venue: Meet at the Glossop Road entrance to Bar One

Price: £22 (includes travel only)

You'll have free time to explore Windsor and Eton,

which are Berkshire's prettiest towns. Overlooking the

River Thames and surrounded by acres of Royal

parkland, Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest

occupied castle in the world. The castle is reputedly the

favourite official residence of the Queen, and the State Apartments contain some of the finest works

of art, armour and paintings in the world. Depending on army scheduling, you may also get to see

the pageantry of the 'Changing of the Guard' ceremony. Should you choose to visit the castle,

admission is approx £15.50 with a valid student card.
