Theater Drive instead of Ramada Drive.

The northbound route will service the Target Center at :35 after the

hour.

Summary of Proposed

Fixed Route Service Changes The following changes have been proposed by RTA staff:

Route 9: PASO ROBLES TO SAN LUIS OBISPO PROPOSED CHANGES, effective June 19th

o The 1st southbound Express run now starts five (5) minutes earlier (to better make connections

with SLO Transit Routes departing from the Downtown Transit Center). o The northbound time at the Capistrano stop has been adjusted 2 minutes early (:20 past instead

of :22) in response to driver input that they are having to wait at this stop, and then late to arrive at Las Tablas Park & Ride.

Route 10: SANTA MARIA TO SAN LUIS OBISPO PROPOSED CHANGES, effective June 19

o Northbound travel times between Santa Maria and the Premium Outlets have been adjusted to assist with on time performance

o The routing through Santa Maria has changed due to the opening of the new Transit Terminal o The southbound 6:57 AM Express run has been discontinued o Service to the Santa Maria Greyhound Terminal has been discontinued o Service to the stop on West Main at College Drive will be served by the morning northbound

Express ONLY o The current northbound morning tripper is now a scheduled run.

NORTH COAST PROPOSED CHANGES: effective Sunday, August 7th

NEW Route 11 (Weekdays): Los Osos, Morro Bay and South San Luis Obispo o Los Osos now connects with Morro Bay and South SLO alternately every other hour. o NEW Service every other hour from Los Osos along LOVR to South San Luis Obispo

(Trader Joes/Food for Less Shopping Center). o The SLO portion of the timetable serves the Laguna Lake/Costco areas and connects with

northbound Route 10 on South Higuera at Suburban starting at 8:03 AM o The route and stop sequence in Los Osos has been changed, with a full loop through Los Osos

and Baywood Park every hour. o New stops now include both Ralphs Shopping and Vons so local residents can go TO and

FROM shopping area to home, without having to go all the way to Morro Bay or SLO and back.

o The Morro Bay portion connects with 12A every other hour starting and 7:00 AM and 12B four (4) times a day

o There are now two (2) Expresses between Los Osos and SLO; one via LOVR & one via Morro Bay. Both will serve Cal Poly and downtown SLO.

Route 12A – Morro Bay, Cuesta College, Downtown SLO o Operates between Downtown Transit Center in SLO and Morro Bay only, via Cuesta College.

Faster service time (24 minutes) from Morro Bay to Downtown. o Cal Poly will no longer be served on the hourly route 12A service (see below). o The Kansas Avenue stop is a call stop and served on a more limited basis o 12A connects at Morro Bay Park with new Route 11 every other hour. o EXTRA Service to Cuesta - new half-hour headways for portions of the morning and afternoons

while school (Cuesta) is in session o Cal Poly is served by the seven (7) new trips while Cuesta College is in session ONLY. These

trips will run from the Downtown Transit Center to Cal Poly to Cuesta and in the afternoons return from Cuesta to Cal Poly to Downtown.

o There are now two (2) Expresses between Los Osos, Cal Poly and SLO; one via LOVR & one via Morro Bay. These will operate year-round.

Route 12B weekdays – Morro Bay north to Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon and Hearst Castle o MORE SERVICE: There will be five (5) weekday round trips between Morro Bay and San Simeon

including the addition of an Express to serve Hearst Castle visitors and employees o All running times have changed o Northbound service along Main Street in North Morro Bay has been discontinued except for Errol

Street o Weekday service will connect with Routes12 in Morro Bay on all five trips o Route 12B will meet the new Route 11 at 7:00 & 9:00 AM and 3:00 & 5:00 PM (missing the 12:00

trip) in Morro Bay. o The Cayucos Limited will continue to run (still using the existing 4:33pm northbound 12A trip from

Government Center to Morro Bay, and an immediate connection at 4:00pm towards Cayucos) o Leffingwell High School is a call stop on certain trips only o New service to San Simeon Campground in both northbound and southbound directions o Possible service to Old San Simeon

Route 12B Saturday/Sunday – San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Los Osos, Cambria & San Simeon o MORE SERVICE: There will be five (5) round trips on Saturday and Sunday o All running times have changed o Cuesta College is a call stop only on the weekends. Same for Kansas and Men’s Colony. o Cal Poly is no longer served on weekends; passengers may use Route 9 connection at Gov’t

Center or SLO Transit @ Foothill and Casa. o New service to San Simeon Campground in both northbound and southbound directions o Possible service to Old San Simeon o A northbound and southbound Express run has been added on Saturdays that leaves the

Government Center at 8:03 Am and returns from Hearst Castle direct towards SLO at 5:30 PM (no service through Los Osos on express trips).

o Modifications to make Saturday and Sunday service consistent on both days are being considered. Same weekend schedules would be easier to communicate and for customers to remember, but would come at the expense of making other RTA Route connections downtown. Route 12 WEEKEND passengers are being asked if they frequently make transfers to other RTA routes on the weekends. Please share your feedback to help us plan the best schedule.

ATTENTION TRANSIT RIDERS!

Changes to the transit system in the North County begin July 1, 2011.

PASO EXPRESS TRANSIT

The new Route C will replace the North County Shuttle in Paso Robles.

Route C will serve Paso Robles stops at almost the same times as the current North County Shuttle, and will meet with the RTA Route 9 at the North County Transportation Center (Paso Robles train station) at the same times.

Route C will service: Lowe’s Center, south Spring St., South Vine Street, Theater Drive, Ramada

Drive, and the Twin Cities Hospital.

Routes A and B will continue operation on the current schedule.

Cash fares for Routes A/B/C will increase to $1.50 for general fares and $0.75 for discounted (senior) fares.

Dial-A-Ride hours will be reduced to 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Cash fares will increase to $4.00 for general and $2.00 for discounted on the Dial-A-Ride

ATASCADERO TRANSIT

A new bus route will service El Camino Real and the Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton. This new route will be meeting the Paso Express Route C/RTA Route 9 at the Templeton Park &

SAN LUIS OBISPO REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY (RTA)

Transfers to/from RTA Route 9 and the Paso Express Route C will occur at the North County Transportation Center (Paso Robles Train Station). Route A and B will also meet with RTA route 9 at the current times.
