WARNING

ALL WIRINGMUST BE DONE

AS DESCRIBED BELOWTO OBTAIN SAFE AND PROPER SYSTEM OPERATION.

1. Earth ground the PXL enclosureproperly; see the latest edition of theNational Electrical Code for approvedmethods. Conduit ground is notrecommended as the primary

means of grounding.

2. Separate all wiring for initiating devicecircuits (i.e., detectors, manualstations, etc.) from all other wiring inthe PXL enclosure. To wire theSystem in compliance with UL 864,

refer to the Power Limited Wiring Instructions for the PSE-1 Enclosure,P/N 315-094154.

3. INSULATE ALL CABLE DRAIN

WIRES from any conduit or earthgrounded electrical box, includingthose in the PXL enclosure.

4. Connect shield cable drain wireONLY inside the PXL enclosure.

AUTOMATIC BATTERY DISCONNECT

Canadian systems require automatic battery disconnect. In order to select this option, setSwitch 5 on S1 of the PPS-10M to the ON position. Connect the battery to the PPS-10Mthrough the supervisory relay.

Connect the NO contact to Battery+ terminal and Common to Bat+ terminal of the PPS-10M.• Connect Battery- terminal to Bat- of the PPS-10M.

• If a supervisory relay is required, use a PRM-4 and configure the relay as a global supervisory.
