Purpose of Document This document provides instructions for installing Cardinal Core on in-house machines.

Before Installation Administrators should notify all third-party vendors, such as IDP and Gulfpak, of the date and time of the scheduled SHAZAM Core Services release installation. All third-party vendors should be asked to be prepared to perform any action on their software required by the installation.

Performing a System Save Administrators should complete the following steps to perform a system save any time prior to installing the release. SHAZAM Core Services recommends that an entire system save be performed at least monthly.

Before Performing a System Save: Ensure that this procedure is performed on a dedicated system where all users are logged off. ATM and Internet Banking Systems will go offline while these steps are being completed.

Step 1 Launch a terminal/console window to start a session with the iSeries machine. Log into the Cardinal Core application as QSECOFR.

Note: If this step is attempted without using the console, the following screen will be displayed and the steps provided by IBM must be followed.

Step 2 At the System i Command Line, key go save and press [Enter] to open the Save menu.

Step 3 Page Down to the Save System and User Data section and select Option 21. Entire System.

The Specify Command Defaults screen will be displayed.

Step 4 In the Devices field, shown above, key the name of a tape drive and press [Enter]. The remaining fields on this screen will auto populate by default.

Pre-Installation Steps Complete the following steps any time prior to installing the release.

Step 1 Sign into SHAZAM Core Services Software application as user QSECOFR Step 2 Run the following command on the iSeries: CRTSAVF FILE(QGPL/TWORKSAVF) If a message appears indicating the file already exists, run the following command:

CLRSAVF FILE (QGPL/TWORKSAVF) Step 3 In a web browser, navigate to the Client Login page at https://www.shazam.net/. Sign into the Client Login with the assigned User ID and Password. If a User ID and Password have not been assigned, contact SHAZAM Core Services.

Step 4 Select the Secure Documents tab at the top of the page to load the shared site.

Step 5 Select the Folder Icon in the address bar to view shared folders.

Step 6

Browse to the following directly by double-clicking the folder in the files list: Cardinal Downloads/Core Releases/Cardinal Core V4R8M0

Step 7 Double-click the TWORKSAVF file to download it. If prompted, select the directory in which to save the file. Do not change the file name.

Helpful Hint: To return to the user-specific files later, select the Files tab.

Note: If this file is saved to a ZIP file, it must be unzipped before transferring it to the iSeries machine. Therefore, SHAZAM Core Services recommends downloading the unzipped file.

Step 8

Complete the following steps to FTP the TWORKSAVF file from the PC to TWORKSAVF in library QGPL with Replace attribute.

A. From the Windows Start Menu, key CMD and press [Enter] to display the command prompt.B. Key CD\DIRECTORY\DIRECTORY and press [Enter] where Directory\Directory is the directory

on the PC where the TWORKSAVF was downloaded to.Example: Enter CD\Temp for C:\Temp

C. Key FTP xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, where the masked characters are the IP address for the iSeriesmachine.

D. Sign in with the iSeries user ID QSECOFR and password.E. At the FTP> prompt, key BIN to change the representation type to binary image. This must be

done in Binary mode.F. At the FTP> prompt, key PUT TWORKSAVF TWORKSAVF (replace).G. At the FTP> prompt, key Quit.H. At the C:\ prompt, key Exit.

Step 9 Complete the following steps to verify the save file successfully transferred to the AS400.

A. Run the following command on the iSeries machine: DSPSAVF FILE(QGPL/TWORKSAVF)B. Verify the list of objects onscreen contains an entry named C480TOOLS. If this entry is

missing, repeat Step 8.Step 10 Run the following command on the iSeries machine:

DSPSYSVAL QALWOBJRST CAUTION: Failing to complete this step will result in an upgrade failure. Step 11 Use the following table to proceed.

If Then

The system returned *ALL after previous step. Make note that the system returned *ALL for use later during installation.

The system returned anything other than *ALL

1. Make note of the value the systemreturns for use later during installation.

2. Run the following command:CHGSYSVAL QALWOBJRST *ALL

Step 12 Run the following command on the iSeries:

CALL C400RUN/TWORKRSTC

Enter G when the restore program prompts you for the following input: Enter a G to restore from save file (TWORKSAVF) in QGPL or C to Cancel.

When the restore is complete, the following message will be displayed: Cardinal Software Release Restore is Complete. Thank you.

Note: If any other message displays, contact SHAZAM Core Support at (800) 537-5427.

Release Installation

Step 1 Disable third-party user profiles.

If Then

Regency, Q2 and Mosaic Users

When using the interactive version of one of these products, the profile must be disabled. Multi banks can have more than one profile for a product. Example: EBUSER for Q2, REGENCY for Regency Voice, Etc.

IDP Users End the IDP interface.

RTI Users

Complete the following steps: A. Sign in to CoreB. Navigate to the RTI MenuC. Select option to send Curent Bal file to SHAZAMD. Contact the SHAZAM Operator at (800) 333-1204 to

notify them that commands have been entered tocreate the Positive Balance file and the MOMI logs willneed to be monitored.

Note: These steps are required to be ran for each appropriate DAT individually.

Socket Users

Complete the following steps: A. Q2 Users Call Q2 Support at (512) 275-0072 and notify

them that the socket interface will be manuallystopped. If after-hours, leave a message.

B. Notify all other vendors who utilize the socketinterface at their support number that the interfacewill be manually stopped.

C. From the System i Command line, keyC480TOOLS/ENDSOCK and select Ok. The followingmessage will be displayed:Socket interface has ended on port 4000

CONNECT Users

From the System i Command line, key C480TOOLS/ENDSVR and select Ok. The following message will be displayed:

Cardinal Servers have ended

Note: These steps must be performed on a dedicated system where all users, including both Cardinal Core and third-party vendors, are disconnected. ATM and Internet Banking systems will

go offline while this is completed.

Step 2 Complete the following steps to ensure all users remain off the system.

A. Sign on to SHAZAM Core Services Software with a normal user ID.B. From the System i Command line, key C480TOOLS/HOLD and press [F4].C. Key the bank data library name in the format of xxxDAT where xxx represents the prefix

assigned the bank’s data library. This prefix might be 2-4 characters. Select Ok.

D. If processing for multiple banks, repeat steps 2B and 2C for each bank.

Step 3 Complete the following steps to install the release.

A. Sign into Cardinal Core as user QSECOFRNote: ATM and Internet Banking Systems will go offline while this is completed.

B. From the Systems i Command line, key WRKOBJLCK QSYS/xxxDAT *LIB to ensure the system isdedicated and select Ok. Replace xxxDAT with the name of the bank’s data library.

If Then Any other User ID other than QSECOFR displays

Key a 4 next to each user ID and select Ok to end job.

Confirmation screen appears Select Ok to confirm.

C. Press [F5] to refresh the screen until all selected jobs are removed.D. From the System i Command line, key ADDLIBLE C480TOOLS *FIRST. Select Ok.E. From the System i Command line, key CALL C480MOVOBC and select Ok to move all

programs, print files and display files to library C400RUN.

F. From the System i Command line, key CALL C480UPGC PARM (C400DAT) and select Ok toupdate the data library with all the changes, process post-install file changes and update theCardinal Core source code.

G. From the System i Command line, key CALL C480TOOLS/C480UPGC PARM (XXXDAT) andselect Ok. Repeat for each bank data library. This step must also be completed for allseparate shareholder or holding company libraries.Do not attempt to upgrade the C400DAT library again, this task was completed in step 3F.

Note: If an error message is received during this step call SHAZAM Core Support at (800) 537-5427 before signing off. SHAZAM Core Support will need

to dial into the iSeries to determine the problem.

H. Use the following table to determine the next step.

If Then

The bank is a Q2 customer

• From the System i Command line,key CALLC480TOOLS/C480UPG3PC PARM(‘CS_Q2_XXX’) to upgrade the Q2library.

• Proceed to the Immediate ActionItems section.

All other customers Proceed to the Immediate Actions Items section.

Immediate Action Items after Installation Complete the following steps after the new release has been installed and prior to the first daily processing run.

Step 1 Remain signed on as QSECOFR or sign back into Cardinal Core as user QSECOFR. Step 2 From the System i Command line, key C480TOOLS/RELEASE and press [F4]. Step 3 Key the bank data library name in the format of xxxDAT where XXX represents the prefix assigned to the bank’s data library. This prefix might be 2-4 characters. Select Ok.

Step 4 Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for each DAT library on the system. Step 5 Enable any third-party user profiles previously disabled. Step 6 Refer to the following table to determine the next steps.

If Then

Socket User

From the System i Command line, key C480TOOLS/STARTSOCK and select Ok. The following message will be displayed:

Socket interface has started on port 4000 If Then

Q2 User

Call Q2 support at (512) 275-0072 andnotify them that thesocket interface will bemanually started. Ifafter hours, leave amessage with theservice.

Other vendors

Notify the vendor at their support number that the interface will be manually started.

Cardinal CONNECT User

From the System i Command line, key C480TOOLS/STARTSVR and press Ok. The following message will be displayed:

Cardinal Servers have started

Platform User

Complete the steps listed within the Platform Procedures upon Cardinal Core release for any Platform products on each PC that runs Cardinal Accounts and/or Cardinal Loans.

CAUTION: If using these products, then the ESS must be cleared on each PC after the install. Inadvertently missing the steps listed within the Platform Procedures upon Cardinal Core Release document on even one PC can eventually cause a nightly processing cycle to fail.

IDP User Call IDP to inform them that the install of the Cardinal release has been completed.

Step 7 Enter the following command to reset the system value ALWOBJRST for system security:

CHGSYSVAL QALWOBJRST STEP10VALUE Replace STEP10VALUE with the value recorded in Step 10 of the Pre-Installation Steps. Example: CHGSYSVAL QALWOBJRST *NONE Step 8 Email SHAZAM Core Support at [email protected] to inform them that the release is installed.

Step 9 Complete the following steps to regenerate any queries included in the daily processing run by running them at some point throughout the day. Note: If the iSeries sign on screen has been altered, this tool will not work. The queries will need to be manually updated.

A. Sign into the iSeries machine as QSECOFR.B. From a command line, key C480TOOLS/UPDQRY (F4-Prompt).C. Key the name of the Query Library that needs to be upgraded (i.e., XXXQRY).

D. Key the user password for QSECOFR’s login.E. Press [Enter].F. Repeat Steps 9A-9E for each query library that is used.

Step 10 Complete any tasks necessary to interface third-party software with Cardinal Core.

Downloading the Release Notes Step 1 In a web browser, navigate to the Client Login page at https://www.shazam.net/. Sign into the Client Login with the assigned User ID and Password. If a User ID and Password have not been assigned, contact SHAZAM Core Services.

Step 2 Select the Documentation link.

Step 3 Browse to the Cardinal Core Release section, where the latest release notes will be posted. If the latest release is not posted, contact SHAZAM Core Support for a copy of the document.
