Shake off Lockdown with The Elmgreen Fun Run!
O ur previous Fun Runs have funded 2 outdoor table tennis tables and a secure container for Duke of
Edinburgh equipment. This year we are aiming to raise £1,500 to help our school to widen student
participation in sport.
In this unusual Olympic year we want you to help The Elmgreen School get to Tokyo! It is 5,936 miles to the Tokyo
Olympic stadium and we are collectively going to try to walk, run, swim or cycle this distance during the month of
October!
How?
Runners and Joggers
Log your steps/distance that you run each week AND at the end of the month, submit your best
time for the 1km or 5 km run during October.
Walkers, Swimmers & Cyclists
Log the distance that you cover each week.
Why don’t you take part with a couple of friends and set yourselves targets!
Registration?
Registration is free but if you are able to donate what you can via our
PPF Give Account (suggested £5 adult, £1 student) and, if you can
also get friends and family to sponsor you for this event, we should
get to our £1,500 goal! Link to PPF Give Account https://
www.givey.com/parentpromotersfoundation
To register please e-mail [email protected] with your name,
age (for under 18’s) and which events you would like to take part in.
Prizes!
Medals for fastest run times and longest distances covered
Progress Reports
We want to celebrate your progress over the month so please submit your steps/ total run, swim or cycle
distance every week to [email protected] and we will track how we’re doing in the weekly School
Newsletter. It would also be great if you could include screen shots from your phone health App/
smartwatch/Fitbit etc.
Finally!
We are able to receive a significant donation through displaying estate agent’s boards. If you would be
happy to have a board for 3 weeks, please contact Sarah Levy. We need 25 more families to volunteer to get
to our target of 50.
Also, if anyone would like to help out with this event (especially those who are good with data!) please get
in touch with Sarah at [email protected]
Please get involved! It would be great to see lots of our school community walking/running/swimming/cycling to keep
fit as well as raising money for our school this Autumn.

Even though students can’t physically browse the shelves, they can still borrow from our library. We have a great
selection of books for all ages. Fancy any of these YA titles? To make a request, just pick up a form from the box out-
side the library.
STOP PRESS: PLEASE CAN ALL STUDENTS RETURN OVERDUE BOOKS TO THE BOX OUTSIDE
THE LIBRARY. MANY OF YOU HAVE BOOKS THAT WERE ISSUED WAY BACK IN FEBRUARY
AND MARCH. THANK YOU!
