Have you ever wondered why Denim Days was
started?
Every Friday when employees are given the op-
tion of wearing blue jeans in exchange for pay-
ing one dollar. The donations are collected by
the Chamber & given to any non-profit organi-
zation in Southwestern North Dakota.
Any non-profit organization in Southwestern
North Dakota can apply for a denim days grant.
Priority is given to organizations with limited
sources for funding. Some organizations that
did receive funding are: COCO, Students
Against Destructive Decisions, & WIGS.
Denim Days grants can only be given when do-
nations are made. We NEED your support so
we can continue to help others with our pro-
gram.
You can be sure that
your donation
counts because the
Chamber grants out
100% of the denim
days funding that it
receives.
If your company
would like to partici-
pate or if you would
prefer to donate a lump sum or just need more
information please contact the Chamber at 225-
5115 or e-mail [email protected].
Thank you to this months

You are invited to take part in the second annual Community Field Day. This event be-ing held on October 5, 2010 from 9:00am to 4:00pm is being hosted by the Strom Cen-ter for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, with support from Dickinson State Univer-sity at the Badlands Activities Center.
The day will feature community success panelists as well as author and Kentucky Economic Devel-oper, Kim Huston. Her book, ―Small Town Sexy: the Allure of Living in Small Town America‖ dem-onstrates what is wonderful about small town life. She reveals why residents love their not-so-big-city lifestyle and how small town charms are seducing newcomers. Huston speaks from experience, as a small town girl who cherishes her roots—and as a professional who is helping develop her town’s economic prosperity.
To register for the day, http://www.stromcenter.com/featured-events/strom-center-events/community-field-day/cfd-registration/ .
Do you want to highlight your organization or business at Community Field Day? Have a booth! If this interests you, contact [email protected] to reserve a spot. Space is limited.
