Dawson Insurance started out on two wheels more than 95 years ago. Today, the agency is as strong, driven & determined as any 18 wheeler on the road, and it covers hundreds of them.
The people who now run the family agency attribute its longev-ity to the values of their fathers and grandfathers, who believed in always placing customers first.
Over the decades much has changed, but protecting those cus-tomers from everyday losses and catastrophic events has re-mained a constant, says President Tom Dawson. “We’re dedi-cated to providing the finest insurance protection possible from reliable companies, most importantly, it comes with the best local and personal service in the industry.

Dr. Daniel Keith, DDS, MS has recently joined Jesperson Orthdontics and is helping Dr. Brian Jesperson straighten smiles, 13,000 smiles and counting. With offices in both Bismarck and Dickinson, Jesperson Orthodontics is one of the few professional orthodontic providers serving western North Dakota.
Originally from Bismarck, Dr. Keith graduated from Century High School and University of Mary. He attended dental school at the University of Colorado, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following that, Dr. Keith received his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania.
The addition of Dr. Keith to the Jesperson staff is the culmination of a 10 year mentorship between Dr. Keith and Dr. Jes-person. In 2003, Daniel Keith was a student at University of Mary, undecided about his career path. When he walked into Jesperson Orthodontics for an appointment to get his teeth aligned, he had no idea that 10 years later, he’d be work-ing with Dr. Jesperson as an orthodontist himself.
“I had just started undergrad classes at University of Mary, not really sure about my major. I came in for braces and Dr. Jesperson and I started talking. He said, ‘You know, you should consider orthodontics.’”
That discussion turned into a decade-long mentorship. “Really, I feel like part of his family. He’s helped guide me through school and through life. It’s great to be able to work with one of your best friends.”
Dr. Jesperson echoes that sentiment. “Dan has worked extremely hard to get where he is today. Although he gives me credit as a mentor, he really put in the work to get where he is today. I’m proud of his accomplishments and glad to be working together.”
“It’s exciting to be back home in North Dakota,” says Dr. Keith.

Joined by their common business culture of cus-tomer service first and foremost, a new alliance between LTR, Wellsite Leasing, and On Site Wa-ter has been finalized. This acquisition strength-ens LTR’s position in the Bakken Shale oilfield equipment rental market, enhancing the com-pany’s continued growth and performance. Well-site Leasing and On Site Water bring in excellent products and an established, consumer base in the Bakken. LTR is a privately held oilfield ser-vices company that provides generators, light towers, frac tanks and other equipment. LTR cur-rently has 16 locations in 9 states with headquar-ters in Odessa, TX.
Wellsite Leasing is a privately held oilfield equip-ment company that provides light towers, heat-ers, trailers and other equipment. Wellsite Leas-ing operates in 3 locations in North Dakota with its headquarters in Dickinson, ND.
On Site Water is a privately held company that supplies water management services to the oil-field including pumps and reeled pipe used in water transfer. On Site Water operates in 2 North Dakota locations with its headquarters in Dickin-son, ND.
Today, LTR has equipment and services for fluid handling and with this acquisition we are benefit-ing the clients of all three companies by expand-ing the depth and breadth of our services and equipment to include water management and transfer.
The strong management teams as well as the good industry reputation that Wellsite Leasing and On Site Water bring are characteristics we look for to fit the LTR model says Ted Hogan. It is a powerful strategic union in an opportunistic market that will have a huge positive impact on the service provided to all customers.

Rasmussen College, a leader in post-secondary higher education, announced a tuition reduction that will save students thousands of dollars and help decrease stu-dent debt upon graduation. In an effort to continuously provide students with the best college investment possible, Rasmussen College is lowering tuition costs an average of 12 percent nation-ally for full-time students. De-pending on each student’s loca-tion and program, this reduction can be up to 24 percent. The re-gionally accredited College has not increased tuition since 2010.
Rasmussen College is also lock-ing in tuition rates for students who are continuously enrolled. The guarantee of a consistent cost per credit will help students understand and plan for the total cost of their degrees. It is also an incentive for students to stay enrolled, a critical element in on-time graduation, which also helps minimize education debt. The new tuition structure was developed to help students maxi-mize the value of their academic investment and was made possi-ble through reductions in the College’s over all operating ex-penses.
This past fall Rasmussen College announced plans to open two new campuses in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Both locations are scheduled to begin classes in spring 2013.

January 16, 2013 We started our day with tours of some public works buildings. First, we visited the law enforcement center, then the public water buildings. AT the water building we learned all that goes into getting the community clean water and the disposal of waste water. After the city tours, we came back to the chamber and had lunch with commissioners Klayton Oltmanns & Dennis Johnson and city Administrator Shawn Kessel. Mr. Kessel then presented to us about how the oil is impact-ing the community and what the community leaders are doing to keep up. Today was an information filled and interesting day.
