Saman Kalantari was born in Shiraz in Iran in 21st  of September 1972. He got his B.A. in foreign language  from Azad university in 1994. Saman started working as a ceramic artist since 1992 and has participated in several exhibitions both sin-gle and group shows.He left his country in 2004 and since then has been living in Italy.In 2005 he began a two-year course at Vetroricerca Glas & Modern in Bolzano and discovered a new me-dium : “Glass” which was the right material to describe his  social experiences of life  both in Iran and   in Europe .  In  2007  he got his diploma.He won the Bullseye  "new comer award  from E -merge  2008  in the United States.his works are publis-hed in Glasshouse, an international magazine for studioglass(glashaus 3/2009) and Neues Glas / New Glass , international  journal focusing on studio glass No. 3/2011.
