LADY GAGA's CONCERTBy Marcelino Fernández (2º Bachillerato B)

Last week I travelled to Barcelona to make one of my dreams cometrue. I saw Lady Gaga in concert! I went with three friends, they loveGaga, too. The concert was really amazing.

First, we took a plane to fly to Barcelona. My friends were scaredbecause it was the first time they were flying. When we arrived at thehotel, we were very tired. At the hotel hall there were a lot of foreignpeople. There was an Irish man who was wearing a skirt. It was sofunny. Maybe he was drunk, I suppose.

The next day, early in themorning, we were ready to seethe city centre. We visited theSagrada Familia, the Güell Parkand a lot of landmarks. Later,we returned to the hotel to getready for the concert. It was atthe Palau San Jordi stadium.

We were so excited in the queue of the concert! When we wereinside, we could see the stage and the colourful lights. Suddenly, themusic started to play and the lights turned off. Everybody started toscream and Gaga started to sing. The atmosphere was lively.

All in all, Barcelona was amazing and it was the best concert I haveever been to.

MY COUSIN's WEDDINGBy Clara Moreno (2º Bachillerato B)

Two months ago, I went to my cousin'swedding. The wedding was in Málaga, in awonderful church next to the beach, in theopen air. I hadn't seen my cousin for manymonths and I had never met his girlfriendwho, in a short time, would become his wife. All in all I had a great time.

My family and I arrived in Málaga the day before, and we visited thecity and some monuments. It was the wedding day and we began toget ready for the celebration. When we arrived, the church wasalready crowded. People were sitting, talking excitedly, and there wasareal buzz in the air. It was a sunny and warm day, it was the perfectday to get married.

Suddenly, the musicians began to play and all the bridesmaids cameinto the garden church singing and dancing. Then, when the groomand the bridesmaids were at the altar, the musicians began to play thenuptial song and the bride, in a wonderful white dress, began to walktowards the altar. All the people were silent and, while everybody waslooking at the bride, I looked at my cousin, and I saw him with thebiggest eyes that I had seen in all my life. He was very happy, and hewas starting another life with the woman he was in love with.

Finally, we went to a restaurant and had a nice family meal, and afterthat we danced for a while. It was a wonderful, beautiful wedding.

A TRIP TO LONDONBy Cintya Molina (2º Bachillerato B)

Five years ago I went on a trip to London with my friends and my Englishteacher. We wanted to visit the city and discover a new culture. For me, itwasthe first time that I travelled abroad, so I felt extremely happy and excited.

When we arrived at the city centre, we saw a lot of people and cars in thestreets. It was great! The next morning we decided to go to the London Eyeand enjoy the view of the city. It was a cold and stormy day, but in spite ofthe bad weather, the trains were crowded and I was scared of getting lost.Unfortunately, that was what happened later.

After our group had got off the train, everybody started walking very quicklyand I couldn't follow them. To my surprise, I found myself alone at thestation. The terrible thing was that I didn't speak any English and I didn'thave my mobile phone with me. I didn't know what to do and where to go tofind my friends. Moreover, I had an impression that it wasthe worstnightmare of my life.

Suddenly, I heard my name by the loudspeakers, it was my teacher. I couldn'tbelieve my ears but it was true. They were waiting for me at the exit of thetrain station, so I went there immediately and I felt really happy to see them.Although I will never forget this terrible experience, I learnt at that momentthat you shouldn't panic and feel helpless.

ELEMENTAL WARBy José Antonio Martínez Pérez (2º Bachillerato B)

This is a made-up story which explains the formation of PlanetEarth.

Long ago, before the human race appeared, Planet Earth wasnothing but an isolated valley. It was then when godly, immortalbeings called Elementals existed. They were divided in two tribes: theWater Tribe and the Earth Tribe. They all shared a common desire:the expansion of their own element.

However, expanding one of these elements would lead to thedisappearance of its counterpart. Since this was a problem talkingcould not solve, the Earth Tribe leader Nildrun declared war to theWater Tribe leader, Blannir. The confrontation began. Highmountains and vast oceans were created. The war shattered theplanet. It seemed like the Earth was condemned to disappear.

However, a light of hope appeared. A third Elemental came downfrom the sky. It was the one who represented the Sky Tribe, Arnel. Itstopped the two armies and organized the expansion of those twoelements: first, wide landscapes were formed, and water surroundedthem. These were the continents and the oceans. Both Nildrum andBlannir found satisfied and fell asleep within the core of the planetas its protectors. Arnel raised above the sky and disappeared.
