Junior High Youth Group Starts October 6th

!

We are about a week and a half away from our first

ever Junior High Youth Group! This will be happening

in the Parish Hall from 5:30-6:30 for grades 7th

-8th

.

Join us for some games and lots of fun! We have a lot

of great things planned this year! We cannot wait to

see all of the Junior High teens on October 6th!

THANK YOU We would like to thank all who helped in preparing

and delivering for our Homecoming Celebration! This includes Fr. John and the committee who initially had the vision to bring this idea to the table. It was a fabulous event, and well over 100 people attended!

Those on the celebration committee deserve a big thanks along with their teams - too many to mention

but the committee heads were: Kraig and Diane Klopfenstein, Mary Dunn Hayward, Steve House, Christy Smith, Michelle Roberts, Jennifer Kruse,

Lori Staver, Anne Schoenauer, and Melinda Jarman.

It sounds like early responses that day were .... We need to do this every year! If you agree, let us know!

LIFE CHAIN Sunday, October 3 is Life Chain Sunday as well as Respect Life Sunday. Please join fellow St. Mary parishioners from

2:00-3:30pm as we stand in peaceful prayer as a visible witness for life and against abortion. We will stand in front

of Bankers Trust, 3905 Merle Hay Road, across from Merle Hay Mall. This 32nd Life Chain is a national effort

to remember the millions of lives lost to abortion.

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY Do you know someone who is homebound and would like to receive communion? Please have them call the office, or give us their name, and we will reach out to them. Once we get the homebound identified, we will contact those of you who so generously responded

to help with this ministry. Thanks for your help.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY The Habitat for Humanity house build is in full swing! The build is scheduled to begin at the end of September and be completed in mid-December. With that beginning said, we need your help! We are trying to raise $5000 at St. Mary’s and are currently substantially short of that goal. Here are some ways you can help us toward our goal: Drop off donations in the containers set up on the

table in the gathering area. You can make the check payable to St. Mary’s with a notation in the memo line that is for Habitat for Humanity.

You can drop off a donation to the parish office during regular office hours. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!!
