Opening Prayer and Scripture PassageGenesis 1:1-5

In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth- and the earth was without form of shape, with darkness over the abyss and a mighty wind sweeping over the waters- then God said: Let there be light, and there was light. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” Evening came, and morning followed- the first day.

Intercessions and PrayerDear Lord,You have revealed Yourself to us in creation. Help us to see you in the many beautiful things that You’ve created for us.. Your words were so powerful that when You spoke, the world was created. When you created us, you gave us some of that power. Help us to always use our voice to help others, and never to hurt them. Amen.
