What’s Channel 4?

• Channel 4 is a British based television channel, broadcasted to the UK only.

• They began broadcasting in 1982 and became the forth channel in the United Kingdom

• Channel 4 covers and shows many popular television programmes, from comedies, dramas, documentaries, reality TV shows and many more.

Why Channel 4?

• I have picked Channel 4 to be the broadcasting channel for my documentary as I believe that Channel 4 is the UK’s most favoured channel and I think that Channel 4 shows the best television programmes. Therefore more people are likely to watch it as Channel is easily one of the most popular Channels in the UK.

• The average age of people watching Channel 4 are around 16-40 years of age. And this is perfect for our documentary as our age range is 15+, so this falls into the age bracket nicely.

• Also channel 4 offer an ‘on demand’ service, in which you are able to watch your favourite TV shows on your computer, phone, TV or games consoles. This gives us multiple platforms in which to gain more viewers.
