SB.TV is also known as SB.TV Global Ltd or SmokeyBarz.

This is a multifaced media platform that has its origin from raw, urban music.

The company was founded by Jamal Edwards, an urban boy from inner city London.

The majority of the content the channel releases is seen on their YouTube Channel which was created on November 2nd 2006.

The first content of their channel and website consisted of unprofessional footage. For example freestyle raps and music videos shot on the street with a basic camera.

During their more recent videos, it is more clear to see that the channel take a more relaxed approach to filming which could be referred to as less is more.

As well as having millions of views and thousands of subscribers, they also have credit for discovering some of todays most popular artists. For example Ed Sheeran whose first videos was aired exclusively on SB.TV in February 2010.

The earlier footage for SB.TV consisted of music videos for grime MCs such as: Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, and Chipmunk.

Recently since they have been creating more of a buzz, the channel has been offering more variety of genres on their channel like pop and also hip-hop, apposed to just grime music.

In 2011 the channel linked up with Sony Entertainment to create their own music label Just Jam with their first signing, Maxsta from East London.

In 2016, as well as still creating music videos and freestyle cyphers, the channel also branched out to producing interviews with very important people. For example their interview with Prince Charles (member of the royal family).

As well as music channels, SB.TV also have channels in different departments. For example Fashion and sports.

Due to their excessive use of digital technology and also diversity their target audience would be broad and are aiming their music towards anyone that loves music of any age.
