I am actively involved in research in the areas of metal matrix composites, Foundry Technology, Ladle Metallurgy and Molten Metal Treatment, Metal Casting Solidification and Simulation.

My Specific Research Interests:Special Casting Techniques, Squeeze Casting Technology, Near Net Shape Manufacturing, Ferrous and Non Ferrous Metallurgy, Powder Metallurgy, NDT, Materials Characterization, Mechanical Testing of Materials, Quality Control Engineering, Metal Matrix Composites, Polymer Matrix Composites, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Metrology and Mechanical Measurement Systems, Tribology, Heat Treatment of Metals and Alloys, Solidification processing of metals, alloys and composites, microgravity solidification, die casting die design, Metallography, microstructure-property Correlation ship, new materials and process development, aerospace engineering materials, Computer Simulation of casting solidification, FEM analysis and advanced engineering mathematics.

Key achievements/Output 1. Developed Lead added LM6 alloy for bearing applications. 2. Conducted tribological research studies on lead added LM6 alloys for antifriction applications.
