The Society of

Saint Vincent de Paul

… Right here at St Agnes actively prays

to find Christ in the face of each person

we meet and serve. We pray to find Christ in one

another. Only then do we look to our own financial

resources and yours to help those we meet. And

YES, we meet and get to know all those who

come. The people are truly amazing! And our

gifts…? We are neighbors loving and helping

neighbors – helping people from Reading “make it”

in these time right here in Reading. Look for more

stories of YOUR Saint Vincent de Paul Society in

following weeks.

When we first moved to Boston in 2014, we did not

know anyone within a 1000 mile radius. After a few

weeks at St. Agnes we heard about the Faith and

Fellowship groups, and although we had never done

anything like it, we thought it could be a good way to

meet people who shared our values. Almost

immediately, we knew we made the right decision.

Our group welcomed us in like family, and really

helped us grow in our faith. Best of all they accepted

our crazy 15 month old son running around, and we

even found a few babysitters! Joining Faith and

Fellowship has helped us adjust to life in Boston, and

we are very grateful for God leading us to such a

great group of friends. Most importantly we feel that

it has renewed and strengthened both of our

relationships with God and has helped grow and

deepen our connection between each other and as

being one through God. We are so looking forward

to the fall session starting soon!
