Eight of the most memorable

SPORTSmoments

“Individual States. It’s the most

stressful but fun weekend I’ve ever had. There are so many

people watching you. When I placed 7th at States, I felt outstanding,

giving my wrestling coaches the biggest hugs ever,” Tyler

Culp said.

“ W e were doing a

stunt where you go backwards and forwards.

Er i n B o o n e a n d Kat i e were spotting me and right

when I was about to do part of it, Erin yells, ‘This is the tricky one!”’We all fell because we were laughing,” Shayla Kanouse

said. “It signified strength and commitment to our

team,“ Erin Langdon added.

“I’ve p l a y e d o n

varsity three years, and my favorite personal

memory was when we played Ann Arbor Pioneer. While I was

running a 45-yard punt return, Frank Schmidt ran right into me. It wasn’t funny at the time, but now it’s hilarious. My favorite team memory was at Call Out Wednesday when we found a

huge tumbleweed and just messed around with it.

It was awesome,” Brandon Bet

“Winning Districts against

Grand Ledge, of course! Also, when I ran into the big

water jug during the district game and it spilled all over... I was really embarrassed. Oh,

and senior night was fun,” Marissa Starr said.

“Winning o u r f i r s t

tournament ever and making history

by doing so. Also, beating Jackson when we came from behind because it brought

our team so much c l o s e r,” Ky l i e

Hoose said.

“Winning C A A C s a n d

Regionals. All of us dumping water

on Grand Blanc ’s equipment and them wanting to fight

us. Hehe,” Josh Green said.

“ I n m y

four years on varsity, this is

the first year that freshmen through

seniors all got along great. We all care less about playing time and more about winning, so your class does not matter as long as you

show up and do your job,” Ryan

S c h o o l e y said.

“During the state finals

when they had all the seniors get together. It

was really strange because I remember watching the seniors in previous years,

and then it was my turn,” Haley Bandt

said.

Ramparts is committed to printing news that is both informative and accurate. If we get it wrong, we want to put it right. If you are aware of any er-rors of fact in our reporting please contact us in room E221 or send an e-mail to [email protected].

In the April issue of Ramparts, the story “Local ice cream parlors serve up smiles” incorrectly stated that Dairy Dan is owned by hus-band and wife Pat and Gary Ruth. Diary Dan was previously owned by Pat and Gary Root, but is now owned by the Spadafore family. The article also incorrectly spelled the name of Endia McKinney.

In last month’s “Community re-members a tragedy,” Rick Royston was incorrectly identified as Chief of Police. Royston is the Fire Chief of Delhi Township.

The Ramparts staff regrets these errors.

Some days tacos were served, and on others there were chicken nuggets. Seniors share their favorite cafeteria foods that made them race to lunch.

“The only time I buy cafeteria food is when it’s Bosco day. I usually pack my lunch. Well, my mom packs my lunch. But on Bosco day I’m always buying because they’re so yummy.”--Mandee Bolanowski

“I love getting a cookie right after I finish my meal because it’s sweet, soft and chocolatey. I like the ones that are really soft because they melt in your mouth.”--Hannan Gedeon

“Paninis are probably one of the best cafeteria foods. I always get excited for lunch when they have them because they’re my favorite. I like mac and cheese and chicken nuggets too.”--Colleen Lierman

“I eat buffalo chicken tenders whenever they have them at the snack bar. They’re crispier than the normal chicken they usually serve, and have a lot more flavor.”--Jamie Hulteen

“Chicken patties are pretty good. They’re always there, so it’s something that is normal that they have every day. I get mine with chips, and apple juice, and sometimes a cookie.”--Haley Bandt
