Life Members Activities
In Region 10, 732 Life Members (54% of total 1353 LMs) are affiliated with 5 existing LMAGs.
These LMAGs (New South Wales, Bombay, Tokyo, South Australia, Kansai, in forming order) are as a whole active enough.
Sections are encouraged to form LMAG. Victorian Section and Nagoya Section are very much interested in forming LMAG.
It is important to encourage elderly members to obtain Life Members Status in the future.

Project 3 : Encouraging elderly members to obtain Life Members Status in the future is very important. Key factors are: Enhanced publicity of IEEE LM Status, variety of attractive events offered by LMAGs and/or Sections (not only meetings, but also Newsletters, technical tours, museum tours, technical conferences with reduced fee, participation and support to Student Branch/ GOLD /WIE activities, etc.). Recognition of LM outstanding Affinity Group by the IEEE LMC seems to be very influential to the above activities. Its selection criteria have been reviewed recently with a participation of the R10 LM Coordinator.
