QUESTION 7“Looking back at the preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?”

Looking back at the preliminary task, I feel I have learnt a lot from the progression to the full product. I had to develop simple skills in order to obtain a good result. For example, I had to take professional photography for the images to do so I used the studio and professional camera as this results to good results and a very good quality photography.

Moreover, another aspect I had to develop was using creative cover lines such as teasers which would attract the audience to want to read the magazine by using language devises such as rhetorical questions and puns. I achieved this because the journalism for the double page spread as I included mannerism to make the information to make it less format and interesting as I think it would attract my audience.

In comparison to the college magazine that I created which was the first time I made a magazine which I was inexperienced in, I only had very basic skills for Photoshop that I was introduced to during GCSE IT, therefore the preliminary task allowed me to enhance my basic skills and therefore resulted to a professional outcome for my music magazine.

Preliminary Task Main Task

The college magazine I created for the preliminary task was very basic lacked detail and as a result wasn’t professional at all in comparison to my final task, as I was familiar with all the technologies therefore concluded it to constructing a magazine that was like a real life music magazine we purchase.
