4) Who would be the audience for your media product?

Teenage/youth

My target audience for my title sequence is teenagers between the

ages of 15 and 19.

This has changed from my research because I realised that my film doesn't really appeal to people over the age of 19 due to the

young actors and themes the films. I also feel that my film will appeal to boys as much as it will appeal to girls. This has also

changed from my research as I thought it would only appeal to girls. I changed my mind as our film is similar to the TV series

skins which appeals to a wide teen audience.

You are a fashion conscious teen who likes to spend spare time in the

company of friends.

You are the type of teen who likes to know what is going on with all the

hottest celebrities.

You are always up to date on all the latest music, films and gossip.

You enjoy regularly checking out the latest fashions in your local high street and picking up trends of fellow teens.

You are always looking for parties and things to do with friends to maintain a

good social life as well as study at college or university.

Psychographics is how someone perceives themselves. I think our target audience would be teenagers who view themselves to be suceeders (always setting new goals

and reaching them and being the best) aspirers (someone who wants to move up a class in their

perception) carers (people who want to do jobs like teaching/nursing) achievers (setting goals constantly for the adrenaline) and lastly radicals (someone who

thinks they are different from everyone else). I believe my target audience is all of these groups I have just

listed however there maybe be acceptations.

5) How did you attract/address your

audience?

Teenage/youth

I asked our target audience questions on our title sequence. I did this via Facebook a well known site

used by our target audience.

1. Would you want to watch the rest of the film?2. Did you personally like the title sequence?

3. What sort of genre do you think this film fits into?4. Do you feel like you want to get to know more about any of the characters?

5. Do you think the characters were realistic?6. Any overall comments about the film and what you liked and didn’t like about it.

We got some good responses.
