Literacy This week is a Reading week focus all the tasks this week are designed to increase the amount and variety of book you are reading.

Task one- Pick your favourite book you have ever read… Why is it your favourite…. When did it become your favourite? What is the moral behind your story… what do you think the character/ characters learn about themselves?

Task Two- Now write an alternative ending to this story so the moral of the story is now the opposite of what the original is.

Word of the day- Complete the word of the day.Challenge yourself to use this word in context at some point today.

Art Create your own nature ice cubes. Take pictures from different angles and notice where the light hits the ice cube whichever photo you like the most share with your teacher.

Spanish Now we have finished looking at the hungry caterpillar story you should be more confident with the new words we have learnt. So let’s end this bit of work by creating a butterfly. Use your knowledge of Spanish colours to help you complete the colour by numbers butterfly. BYMB- watch the video attached and create a moving butterfly… be warned the verbal instructions are in Spanish so you will have to use Comprehension Express tips to make connections between the actions and predict what she could be saying 😊

Use a ruler to complete the shapes using the line of symmetry. Then write the name of the shape you have drawn.

Finish the symmetric pattern then write down the shapes you can see.

Use the lines of symmetry to complete the shape. Use colouring in pencils to shade to show the parts of the shape.

Remind yourself what an octagon is and what an obtuse angle is. Then when you’re confident you can draw your shape using the line of symmetry. You may need an adult to support you with this.
