DN375 components shall be all RRJ GRP or all RRJ PVC DWV. · All > DN450 components shall be RRJ GRP. SEW requires Type 5 drops in this case (refer to SEW for details). · Other Made to Order MHs (ie: GRP) shall be constructed in compliance with this standard as much as practical. · Pre-fabricated MHs may have internal drop options. Install as per per MRWA-S-306B. Item D. Chase for drop pipe shall be straight, at the maximum grade nominated in Table 205-B. Item E. Ensure base correctly supports the bottom bend as shown in Figures 311-C, D & E. Do not enclose bend so that it cannot be easily replaced. Angle outlet of drop bend so that it is in line with the direction of the channel. Item H. Install support brackets equidistanced at maximum 1500 spacing. Install at least one bracket at the top and bottom of each drop > 600 tall. Install directly under sockets if possible (provided the bracket hole is 100 clear of shaft penetrations) so that the bracket can support the vertical weight of the pipework. Item I. If concrete shaft, wall penetration shall be 50 to 100 larger in diameter than the outside Ø of the connecting pipe. Rough penetration surface required to enable a strong mortar seal . Smooth cut penetration is not acceptable. Item J. Fit end of socket flush with inside wall of MH. Item L. GRP to PE pressure main connections shall be a Flanged Joints. Often oversized GRP flange required. Item P. Place a step iron directly across (+/- 10°) the MH from a ladder rung at ~1.2m height below center of high level sewer. Not required for drops < 1.8m tall. Item R. Where item P installed. Install a handgrip 1.2m directly above Item P, orientated vertically. Item P & R.
