Background Information

• BBC Films is the feature film-making arm of the BBC. It was founded in 1990, and has produced or co-produced some of the most successful British films of recent years, including Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Nativity, Billy Elliot, saving Mr. Banks and street Dance 3D.• BBC Films co-produces around eight films a year, working in partnership with major

international and UK distributors. Christine Langan is of BBC Films, responsible for the development and production slate, strategy and business operations.• BBC Films has been based at Broadcasting house in London since 2013.Prior to

2007, it was based nearby in Mortimer Street, while still under full control of the BBC. A restructuring of the division integrated it into the main BBC Fiction department of BBC Vision. As a result, it moved out of its independent offices into BBC Television Center.

Target Audience:The filmed is aimed towards young mature viewers such as older teens and young adults as it covers a mature topic and includes violence and poverty.

Film Plot: Dr.Alfred Jones is a fisheries scientist who one day receives an unusual request- a business women named Harriet wants to help him fulfill a wealthy sheiks request to bring sport fishing to Yemen. Romance blossoms as Harriet and Jones work to make the Sheiks dream come true.

Target Audience: The film is a PG but is mainly aimed to the slightly older generation as it has covers geographical complications however it can still capture young adults as It has romance.
