ABOUT THE DIRECTOR .. :

EDYTHE SILLScontinues her remarkable record of achievement withKentwood as director of GUYS AND DOLLS. She is the winner ofmany acting awards at K.P. and elsewhere, the most recent being the1970 Masque Award as best actress for her role as Eleanor in THELION IN WINTER (for which she also received the best actress awardfrom the L.A. County Adult Drama Festival), and the 1970 MasqueAward as best supporting actress for her work in READY WHENYOU ARE, C.B.

ABOUT TH,E PRODUCER ...

PAT GUNTER, winner of Kentwood Masque Awards as best producerfor THE LION IN WINTER and THE TENTH MAN, now brings to theK.P. stage a lively musical, GUYS AND DOLLS. In addition to hisaccomplishments as an award-winning producer, Pat has served asK.P. president for two terms and has played a major role in thegrowth of the theatre.

ABOUT THE ACCOMPANIST . . .

LOIS SPAIN has lent her talent as a piano accompanist to Kentwoodin productions of THEFANTASTICKS and A FUNNY THING HAP-PENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. Her career as an accompanistbegan at the age of 15 and since then Lois has worked as a churchchoir director and accompanist to vocal and violin students andperformers.

ABOUT THE CAST . . .

JONAS RIMSON (Nicely-Nicely) last delighted Kentwood audiencesin THE FANTASTICKS. A students at N.Y.U. and Julllerd, he hasappeared in many dramas and musicals including CAROUSEL, KISSME KATE, SOUTH PACIFIC and STALAG 17.

DANNYOSHINS (Benny Southstreet) returns to the K.P. stage after hisdebut last fall in DON'T DRINK THE WATER. Other productionsDanny has appeared in are FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and HOW TOSUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.

PERRY PAGE (Rusty Charlie) is a newcomer to Kentwood but lastwinter he appeared locally in THE SOLID GOLD CADILLAC. He spentthree years doing lighting and stage managing as well as performingin many roles with the Bryzin Repertoire Group.

PAM ARMSTRONG (Sarah Brown) makes her first K.P. appearancewith this show. Her many years of professional vocal training havebrought her roles in such local productions as CAMELOT, OKLA-HOMA, PAJAMA GAME and AMERICAN DREAM.

KARL THOMAS (Arvide Abernathy), a past-president of K.P. andwinner of a Masque ward as best minor actor for his role in THETENTH MAN, last appeared here in THE FANTASTICKS. Other ap-pearances have been in THE ODD COUPLE and ROOM SERVICE.

HARVEY ROSENBERG (Joey Biltmore) appeared in Kentwood's lastproduction, OF MICE AND MEN, and has performed in WITNESSFOR THE PROSECUTION, DON'T DRINK THE WATER and THE ODDCOUPLE. Harvey also lends K.P. his artistic talent, creating many ofour program covers.

PENNY ORLOFF (Agatha of the Mission Band) makes her K.P. debutwith this production. She has appeared in such local productions asTHE MIRACLE WORKER, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK and ANTHEMSin Eb CALLIOPE. Her musical training includes a year in Italy on ascholarship to Conservatorio Francesco Morlacchi.

DAVE MIZRAHI (Harry the Horse) possesses the distinction of havingwon awards for both acting and directing from the L.A. Adult DramaFestival. He was best actor for his role in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGEand best director for COME BLOW YOUR HORN. His last K.P. accom-plishment was directing the hit comedy, DON'T DRINK THE WATER.

DAVID ZIMMERMAN (Lt. Brannigan) is a newcomer to Kentwood,.but will be familiar to' L.~. audiences having seen his in.a local pre-duction efTHE TENTH MAN. He studies drama at U.S.c. and hasappeared in summer stock in the East.

MIL OSHINS (Nathan Detroit) has delighten K.P. audiences in suchI. productions as A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO. 'THE.

Fo.RUM, SUNDAY IN NEW yo.RK and A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGEfor which he wen the Masque Award as best supperting actor ferhis memorable portrayal of Marco. Mest recently he appeared as thezany caterer in K.P.'s DON'T DRINK THE WATER.

DULCIE ELDRIDGE (Adelaide) makes her second Kentwood appear-ance in this production, having appeared last fall in Do.N'T DRINKTHE WATER. She has appeared in manylecal productions, such asGREEN GRo.W THE LILACS for which she wen an acting award.Other shews Dulcie has appeared in the THE ODD Co.UPLE, LITTLEMARY SUNSHINE, HOTEL PARADISlo. and LITTLE.Fo.XES.

Ro.N SCARLATA (sky Masterson) last appeared at Kentwood in WAITUNTIL DARK and since has performed ..~ featured role in Shake-speare's TRo.lLUS AND CRESSIDA at U.C.L.A. where he recentlycompleted his master's degree in theatre arts. He toured Europe withU.S.c.'s Festival Theatre in 1968, and has appeared locally in suchproductions as STAR SPANGLED GIRL, Bo.RN YESTERDAY, So.UTHPACIFIC and o.UR TOWN.

ADA LILLY (General Cartwright) is familier to' Kentwood audienceswho remember her in CARL SANDBURG, YES, and before that inGIGI as Aunt Alicia. Ada has served Kentwood in many capacitiesincluding werking on costumes for many shows and appearing in

, several workshops.

GENE GIBSON (Big Jule) studied drama at EI Camino Cellege wherehe appeared in several productions including GUYS AND Do.LLS.andWAITING FOR LEFTY. He also appeared in KING ARTHUR andARABIAN KNIGHTS. This is his first appearance at Kentwood,

SARALEE MURMA (Girl Who Reads) came to' Kentwood this spring assubstitute stage manager en YO.U KNo.W I CAN'T HEAR YO.U WHENTHE WATER'S RUNNING, and is werking beth en-stage and back-stage en this production, Saralee, a theatre arts major at EI CaminoCellege, has appeared in many productions including MISTER Ro.B-ERTS, THE KING AND I and ROMEO. AND JULIET.

SHARo.N KELLY (Vender's Assistant) appears fer ,he first time enKentwood's stage, but she has served behind the scenes as propmistress in WAIT UNTIL DARK and has worked en lights and soundin THE SHELTERand CARNIVAL ISLAND.

MICKEY SILLS (Little Pickpocket) continues the Sills family traditienen Kentwood's stage with his debut in GUYS AND Do.~LS. Mickeyis the fifth member of his family to' work on K.P. productions. Hismother is Edythe Sills, the director.

ESTHERPRAGER (Lulu LaRue) makes her debut en Kentwood's stagein the Hot Box Chorus. Esther aspires to' future roles in K.P. musicals.

DDRDTHY THOMSON (Fifi Fondue), who received her dramatictraining at the British Academy of Dramatic Arts, spent many yearsas a professional singer in .England and also appeared in Britishtheatre. She has appeared in such plays as ANNE DF A THo.USANDDAYS, LDVE DR Mo.NEY, PLAYBDY OF THE WESTERN WDRLD andTHE DDD CDUPLE.

CALIA SILVERS (Chi Chi Charmaine) is a leng-time Kentwood mem-ber and is remembered particularly for her role in A MAJo.RITY DFONE fer which she received the Masque Award as best miner actressin 1967. Other K.P. appearances include A FUNNY THING HAP-PENED DN THE WAY TO. THE FORUM, TEAHo.USE or THE AUGUSTMDDN and DARK DF THE MDDN.

DEE TURQUAND (Dee Dee Desiree) most recently appeared in Kent-wood's winter show, READY WHEN YDU ARE, C.B. Dee has ap-peared in several K.P. workshops, has done preps, and is remem-bered by K.P. audiences fer roles in THE DDD CDUPLE, TEAHo.USEDF THE AUGUST MDDN and A MAJDRITY DF DNE.

SUSAN MICHAEL (Tessie Teagarden) is an actress and director, hav-ing directed for ROOM FOR ONE MORE, BLITHE SPIRIT and THEWIZARD OF O-Z. Her acting credits include ELIZABETH THE QUEENand THE MADWOMAN OF CRAILLOT. Susan charmed K.P. audienceswith her debut performance as Annie in READY WHEN YOU ARE,C.B.

NORMA NORTHCOTT (Maisie McGuire), a past-president of K.P., lastappeared in a local production of SHE LOVES ME. Norma is remem-bered 9Y Kentwood audiences for her Masque Award-winning role inPAPA IS ALL, as well as for roles in PICNIC and A FUNNY THINGHAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.
