Completing an Appraisal Has Never Been Easier

Completing an appraisal is fast and easy; requiring only six simple steps—even fewer for employee self-appraisals.

Designed with your appraisers in mind the interface is intuitive and the navigation straight forward. We make it easy because we know that to be successful your managers need to learn quickly and save time.

Each step is listed under the Appraisals heading of the main menu. Open the Appraisal section and highlight each selection.

Simply start at the top and work your way down until the appraisal is complete.

Six Simple Steps

Performance History – Complete, Centralized and Secure

All performance related material is centrally stored in one location– the Performance History screen.

This resource allows supervisors to easily create and access forms, notes and past reviews. Begin the appraisal process by reviewing an employee’s past performance.

This step allows managers to quickly remind themselves of issues or concerns from previous evaluations.

After reviewing performance history, managers can appraise employees with confidence, assured that they are including accurate information.

Evaluate Factors – Loaded with Positions and Factors

Continue the appraisal by evaluating performance factors. A factor (or competency) describes a specific behavior or function required for a position.

Multiple factors are assigned to each position. Together, these factors provide a complete picture of the skills necessary for each job.

Unique to Performance Pro is a standard feature that allows up to two appraisers to evaluate the performance of a single employee.

First review the performance level descriptions. Next, determine the level of performance and slide the pointer to the appropriate level.

Evaluate Goals – Specific and Measurable

Next, evaluate performance and development goals.

Each goal is defined, given a due date and assigned a weight based on its importance.

Evaluate each goal simply by moving the pointer to the appropriate level.

Further goal completion detail may be provided with specific, measurable Action Steps that can be individually weighted and evaluated.

Comments for each goal can be added providing additional documentation and feedback.

Merge The Appraisal

Merging the appraisal brings appraiser and employee information together in one, easy-to-read form and quickly identifies differences in scores and perceptions.

Self-evaluation is an optional but powerful feature that allows managers to receive and consider valuable feedback that includes employees in the appraisal process.

If desired, the appraiser may route the appraisal to his or her up line managers for review and approval.

Complete The Appraisal – Finalize and Reset

Marking an appraisal as ‘Complete’ creates a historical record of the final appraisal and resets the process for the next cycle.

Performance Pro’s automatic workflow then resets factor rates to zero, moves future goals to current, and cycles appraisal dates to the next appraisal period.

Completed appraisals can now be accessed from the Performance History screen.

Documents requiringe-signature appear on a user’s home screen and the employee performance history page. Simply click where prompted to securely sign an appraisal.

Company Settings – Make it Your Own

The Company Settings section provides access to tabs allowing customization for Appraisal Settings, Custom Terms, Custom Fields, Summary Fields, Home Screen display, and Company Organizational units.

From the Appraisal Settings tab you can:•Select number of performance levels•Set appraisal frequency•Enable or disable employee self appraisal•Designate routing•Activate e-signature•Activate advanced features such as multi-appraiser•Hide and Show selected information such as weights and scores

Employee Data – Import Data from Any HR System

Add your employees quickly and simply through our import feature.

Quickly setup employee to manager relationships and assign positions to employees.

Performance Pro’s import accepts data from all major payroll and HRIS system.

With our outstanding customer support program (included in the purchase cost), the initial position and employee setup is completed and configured for you.

Performance Factors – Hundreds to Choose from

Performance Pro is loaded with over 140 well defined Performance Factors.

Examples include communication, attendance, time management, quality, and teamwork.

Not only is each factor clearly defined but each performance level also has its own specific description . By defining factors in terms of specific, concrete behaviors and anchoring them to a rating scale, Performance Pro makes evaluations simpler and less subjective.

Implement them as is, edit them to fit your specific needs, or easily add your own.

Positions – Little or No Customization Work Required

Select your company positions. Choose from our list of over 350, each with pre-assigned Performance Factors or simply create your own. You may assign any factor to a position.

Appraisal consistency and objectivity increase as employees in the same position are evaluated on the same factors and standards.

While little or no customization work is required, each position can be easily altered to reflect the requirements of your culture.

Notice that each factor is also weighted to reflect importance.

Goal Library – Planned Professional Development

New to Performance Pro is an integrated, comprehensive goal library that features hundreds of topically categorized and fully defined performance and professional development goals.

Utilize Performance Pro’s extensive goal library or create your own.

The Goal Library can be utilized for setting current or future goals. Individual, department or organization wide goals can be assigned, linked and cascaded with the click of a button.

Forms– Centralize HR Forms and Tools

Create and manage electronic HR Forms directly within Performance Pro using our unique Form Builder feature. Performance Pro includes standard forms. Use them as is or modify them to meet your needs.

Creating new, custom forms is fast and simple to complete.

Once entered, managers across your organization can access, complete and store the forms in one centralized location. Each form can be assigned properties for routing, editing, and electronic signature.

Reports – Manage Your Appraisal Data

Track your performance management program data using Performance Pro’s numerous reports. The Report Wizard allows you to make your reports as simple or detailed as you need!

These tools help system administrators and appraisers efficiently track the appraisal process, review position and factor configuration, manage specific employee information and much, much more.
