Video Song• The song that my group are using for our music

video is “Christina Grimmie – My Anthem”

Genre• Our video is going to be a postmodern pop music video. The song

that we have chosen is up beat, light-hearted and pop-like. We will represent our genre through the stars image and the lyrics within the whole song.

• Because our video will be postmodern it will include a lot of intertexual references to other media, new technology and magazines.

Audience Profile

Lyric Annotation This is the initial plan for our music video, I have annotated the lyrics to show what visuals will go in with what lyrics.

We have decided what we wanted to see in each verse of the song and added comments to help us in the filming process.

As well as this helping us in the filming process, this will also help us when we edit and put together the final video on final cut.

Intertexual ReferencesThe intertexual reference that we are going to use within our music video is Audrey Hepburn – Breakfast at tiffany's. We chose this because she is an iconic figure and she embodies elegance and class which our audience will recognise.

Instagram is an intertexual reference that we have used within our music video as it is a part of new media that the target audience will use to socialise, they will be able to recognise the reference.

Editing TransitionsThe concept of each transitions from one scene to the next includes zooming into a still image and that image then comes to life and forms the next scene.

For example our first scene is the artist getting ready, opens a photo album, the camera then zooms in to one of the photo graphs of the artist in the park, then that photograph becomes the next scene, from the park scene the artist walks past someone with a magazine, showing the artist on the cover, the camera again zooms in to the cover and that forms the next scene etc…

Breakdown of VideoThis is the breakdown of the video done by Lily and Gabriel, they have stated where and what type of shot is going to be taken throughout the video.

Recce FormBedroom

Our group used a bedroom for the beginning of our music video where the artist begins to get ready, we used the bedroom again at the end of our video where the artist is taking off her make up with friends

Living RoomOur group used a living room for the one of the last parts of our music video as the artist is sitting with friends watching television

Drama Pod

My group will be using the drama pod to film the ‘photo-shoot’ part of our music video. In the photo shoot scene, we would need a lot of space. The drama pod is very spacious which will facilitate filming.

Park

Our group will be using the park to film the grassy area’s of our music video, the first time we will be shooting our artist walking through the park and at the end of our music video the artist will be at the grassy area again letting balloons go at the end of the song.
