“PISCO”
has three origins:
"bird“ in Quechua word.
The mud container was called "botija", where pisco was deposited.
Pisco, city and name of a town that belongs to the
Ica valley. The great Independence leader José de San Martín disembark in the Paracas bay in Pisco,
September 8th, 1820.
Located in the Peruvian coast we find a valley, a river, a port and a city named Pisco, since the Colonial period. However, it was in the valleys of Ica where
these crops largely expanded thanks to adequate weather conditions.
Pisco is the Peruvian grape "aguardiente" obtained from the
distillation of recently fermented musts exclusively grapes (grape juice),
according to traditional practices
Indians called "Piskos" inhabited this valley were excellent
ceramists who prepared "clay pitchers" (botijas de arcilla) also
called "Piscos" or "Pisquillos
The botija was a practical container that used in the elaboration of pisco and then to transport and keep it. In
the botija the grape juice was fermented.

water flowed yesterday, pure Pisco spirit flowed in this day.
PLAZA DE ARMAS´S FOUNTAIN
People is invited to drink it all for free, some 4000 litres, and try its four varities; Quebranta, Italia,
Acholado, Mosto verde. Of course, the Plaza is full and old
drunk people spent the afternoon stumbling around.
Later in the afternoon horses, riders and dancers arrive to
perform.
